Joe Blank said in an interview that Francisco Garcia commented that the Kings never had practices as hard and fast as the Rockets. Not excusing Robinson's play, which has been legitimately bad. But we should probably temper expectations until he's more acclimated with the team.

Next season is when he needs to make a huge step forward. At least be a proper garbage guy with a decent jumpshot and effort on D.

I took a look at some stats and TRob rookie numbers are pretty similar to David Lee.

    Lee rookie state: 16.9 mpg, 5.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.3 bpg, 59% FG, 57% FT

    TRob rookie stats: 15.7 mpg, 4.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.7 apg, 0.4 bpg, 43% FG, 56% FT

Inappropriate language in a fan forum where degrading people are 90% of the action?HAHA Inappropriate language in the internet. That's funny. Its like TV bleeping out swear words but showing kids sex scenes and Victorias secret bikini fashion shows, while allowing American idol to degrade people.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Your point is pretty clear to me. Big man can take longer to develop, everyone knows that.

Which is funny because everyone was ready to call Favors a bust and then he goes to a better situation and is one of the better young big men in the NBA.

    Favors rookie stats (age 19)
    19 mpg. .517 fg. 5.2 rpg. 0.87 blks. 0.37 stls. 6.8 ppg

    TRob stats (age 21)
    15.7 mpg. .424 fg. 4.5 rpg. 0.4 blks. 0.5 stls. 4.7 ppg.

I don't think anyone labeled Favors a bust as he was the key piece in getting DWill. If you check Favors rookie stats, they did go up with a team change but not by that much as he had decent stats even in NJ. If TRob was 19 with a FG% of .517 and could be used as the key piece to getting a star as a rookie then you'd have a point but that's not the case.

Nah, I remember many people calling Favors a bust. I actually wonder if Nets fans would actually like Favors back...Utah got the better end of that..

Can we stop just looking at FG%? I swear any time someone has a argument about how good a basketball player is they just look right at FG% as if it just says all you need to know.

    What about Larry Sanders?

Larry Sanders is a legit shot blocker. 6'7" Robinsin is not.

What exactly is Thomas Robinson's upside? Honest question.

We get it Carl u think Trob is garbage. Ur in every post pointing it out. He has the tools to e a very good player in the league. He has more double double in limited time than Paterson on the yr just saying.

So, a fully developed "best case scenario" Thomas Robinson in his prime would be similar to which NBA player?

Probably rebounding, but Asik is better.

I like the trade as long as TRob is not in Rockets long term plan, we need a stretch 4 who can go down low --- DMO is filling up the spot nicely.

What do you think the trade is about?

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but send Trob the #5 pick to the DLeague. He needs to stay there until he can actually look like an NBA player. It worked for Morris, it worked for Donatas. If they can improve, I'm sure Trob can too.

Who knows what his upside actually is? His rebounding in limited minutes would say that he could be a great rebounder the more comfortable he gets to the NBA and the more he buys into that role.

We get it though, you don't think he has much upside...but it's pretty clear that NBA GMs think he has a shot at being a pretty good player. I don't get the point of trying to pass final judgement of him this early in his career.

A Patrick Patterson that could rebound probably would have been the difference between keeping him and trading him.
