[Games] SimCity 2013

It seems like they are really hoping the multiplayer aspect of the game wins big.

It also seems like they made it is less in depth. Probably trying to expand their audience. They know repeat users will come back, they are just trying to get new users. Drug peddlers use this strategy often.

The no-playing offline is an automatic "hell no" for me. Dumb dumb dumb.

Ready to put my Cities XL to rest...

 

Was excited about this until they sort of ruined everything that was fun about SimCity 4.

I'll just stick to simcity 4. The mods make it what it is anyway.

 

I'll definitely get it like I do pretty much every SimCity game (and be bored with it within a month... lol).

Now to decide if this is worth upgrading from a Radeon 5870 for. They say the "recommended" (not minimum) card is at least a 5850, and I think the 5870 should be more than enough, but I'd like to run this puppy on max everything.

 

Aw man. I was so looking forward to a new Simcity 2013, and I just read not only are they stripping things from the old games (crappy zoning, no subway (???)) but it MUST be an online game? Screw that! Oh yeah, my whole sole purpose of gaming is to interact with other people, NO IT'S TO PLAY THE ******* GAME.

I think I'm going to go back to simcity 4.

 

Does anyone want to team up for region play? You can be involved in 10 different regions at a time so you can play with fellow Clutchfans and real life friends on separate regions.

 

I will probably pre order. I'm a simple city noob with not a ton of time, but I may very interested in this. I will read up on it.

 

Not when I first get the game. But when I get bored with it, I'll cheat myself into just forgetting about the game. I've been playing SimCity since the first one, and it's the same thing each game... play for about a month, get bored, never play again. I still haven't figured out why, since I love games like that. And yes, Cities XL sucks.

Same dilemma on whether to upgrade.

Really want to play the latest, I'm sure it'll be great, but don't really play other games; not so eager to make an upgrade just for this one game that I'll probably play for perhaps 3-4 weeks

I read that this game has a major flaw in that you always have to be online to use it or something like that.

 

Yea I play video games every now and then . Halo is cool, anybody heard of it?

 

Its an annoyance, not a flaw.
Also prevents cheating because all data is stored server side.
