My shower is pretty big and I have a built-in bench in the corner. Sometimes to relax, like you, I just turn on both shower heads and shoot it at the corner and sit there. If I had a sauna shower I would do that and waste less water but I don't.
In HS I would do it every morning, because I went to school at like 6:30 and went to sleep at like 3 most nights. I would take 30 minute showers, mostly because I would fall asleep and someone would have to pound on the door to wake me up. But it was part of my ritual, my pattern, so until I lost my shower going into college, I continued it. Now I am afraid to put my butt on my shower floor in my current home.

No no no shaving in the shower is fine used to do it all the time. But had the conversation with some buddies who said they been known to brush their teeth in the showers...odd
I brush my teeth and shave in the shower. The way I figure it, that's a few minutes longer I get to stay in the shower, and that's a-okay with me. And my shower has a built-in seat, so no sitting on the floor. If you have the time, sitting and just letting the hot water run on you is awesome.
I have a built-in bench where I lean back for several minutes. I turn on other shower heads that directly face the bench to keep my chest warm because the regular heads' stream only reaches my upper and lower legs. Even if I didn't have a bench, I'd sit on the floor now and then. I don't know why some people here don't clean it more often that hygiene becomes an issue.
