Foster the People but they are little more mainstream than MGMT but those 2 artists sound similar to me.

Is it? I was wanting to check it out. I heard one song that sounded really good, and heard the review of the album on NPR, but I hadn't heard anything else.

M83 and Metric remind me of them. Also there's a band from new zealand that is very similar named Kids of 88. Check out My House.

I respectfully disagree about the MGMT and M83 comparisons. M83's music is more cold and isolated than MGMT, IMO.

I was one of the few that didn't mind "The King of Limbs". I just finished my first listen of "Amok" and it reminded me more of Thom Yorke's solo album, "The Eraser" than "The King of Limbs". I can't really say much about it after one listen - mainly because I kept thinking to myself as I was listening to it that Flea is playing bass on this album, lol.

Tame Impala opened for MGMT on MGMT's last tour (at least the last one to come through Houston), check them out. Specially their new one, "Lonerism", though the first album is good too.

    Inception OST.

The combination of digital electronic sounds with an orchestral soundscape plus Johnny Marr on the guitar is perfection. Hans Zimmer is officially peaking.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!
Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing
Veronica Falls - Waiting For Something to Happen

Out of the 3 new albums that were released last Tuesday (Atoms for Peace, Johnny Marr, and Steven Wilson) - the Wilson album is the best, IMO. If you love classic progressive rock like early Genesis, Yes, and ELP then you will love this album.

Well I should say I wasn't a huge fan of King of Limbs (didn't stop me from seeing radiohead twice on that tour) but this album is way more my cup of tea. I think of amok almost as thom yorke's 2nd solo album.
