As much as I miss Scola and his post game, I am happy I don't have to see a P-Patt/Scola front line in crunch time anymore. I am most thankful that we have Omer .
- Happy we got Harden - Happy about the good play and improvement of Parson's - Happy that Lin has improved throughout the season and has a greater upside than Kyle - Happy about the great offense of Dmo and that he is going to be a great offensive force in the NBA and is going to continue to improve on defense. - Happy that we got Asik and we don't have to watch people take it to the basket on us like there is nobody there -Happy for Asik's great rebounding - Happy that we have the youngest team in the NBA with plenty of room for growth - Happy that we have a great GM and owner - Happy that in the 2015 all star game I will get to watch Harden, Dmo and Parsons on the west team. - Happy that Beverley is playing well at backup PG - Happy that Lin will be a top 10 point guard by 2014/2015 season - Happy that the Rockets will be in the finals within the next 3 years - Happy that we have room to sign a max player when we want to - Happy that I can post in a thread about the great Houston Rockets and the great future we have
That's right and once he figures out the rotations and where to be on D he will be a great NBA player. He can score better than Scola in the post and already has moves that no other power forward has in the NBA.
For most people, happiness is about exceeding expectations. And I have yet to hear anyone on this board say they expected more than what we've gotten out of this team this season. So there's been some whining lately, because we're now expected to beat teams like the Wizards and the Bucks, but I think that's going to just be a small blip in a general upward trend. Go Rockets!
Dmo. He's just fun to watch. really gifted young man. he's defense tho....wait, this is a happy thread.
I agree that bulking up would help if it didn't affect his speed but I really think he defensive problems are more about understanding than they are about physical limitations.
I'm happy that Asik has shown a willingness to try to score. I kinda thought he'd be one of those big men who doesn't WANT the ball on the offensive end, but he actually kind of has an offensive player's mentality. I wish he had better hands and a shooter's touch, though. Can you imagine if Asik had Yao's shooting touch? He'd be an automatic 20/10 guy. And not injury-prone, either.
In before Carl Herrera poo poos negativity all over this thread and whines about the Rockets trading Patrick (the single greatest defender of all time) Patterson.
