what's so difficult about defense? energy and effort! keep your hands up straight, up and down, move feet, know your rotation assignments, don't bite on the ball fake! He'll get it someday in the near future.
One thing's fire sure, dude makes good decisions on offense. He isn't cringe worthy like morris or patterson.
He just has "it" on offense. Every move he does looks confident and skilled. Zero awkwardness in D-Mo's game around the basket.

Dirk is still a terrible defender..... He is also a 0 on shot blocking and a 0 on help D, due to his uber slowness. Most #1 options are bad defenders. Not everyone is able to put forth the effort on both ends, it's quite rare. For a comparison's sake, if Bosh were on this team, we'd have the same issues, good scoring, bad D...
His defense will get better as the years go on. His talent on the offensive side is going to be extremely valuable to us going forward. I'm excited about this team!
