This is great!!... for 2k13. Beverley hasn't been added yet and brooks ratting is 78! Thats tied for the 2nd best overall ratting on our team with parsons. His defensive (i have no idea) overall is also higher than Lin's. Good stuff morey, good stuff.
Brooks on a 2-yr room exception with team option on the second year is good value now and in the trade market this offseason. $2.575 million is perfect contract to throw in a trade with Garcia, Honeycutt, Delfino, and one of Smith/Anderson to get Pau Gasol over here. Lakers can cut Garcia and get several nice pieces to complement their big 3 at minimal salaries. (Wink Wink Wink)
I think Lin is not always 100% so the team sign 1more PG to backup. The Magic game show Lin is not as explosive as he does in the recent game. Lin's skill is not better than other PG. He relies on his explosiveness too much, which may cause injury. And the Rockets know it, so they sign 1more PG as insureance.
here is my summary of brooks, as he was one of my favorite rockets:more of a guard with great handles and a stellar 3 pt shot WHEN he is hot, but during his time in houston he was a chucker and became known as the "black hole" on offence. his career did take a serious downturn when he got injured by ginobili, i think he lost a step in his quickness and thats what he relies on. he was one of the fastest runners in the league i remember, not sure if he is still as quick. he is definitely a spark on the offence though, and is a great offensive player. what positives i think he can bring to the table: 3's, speed, and excitement. i hope lin can learn to improve his handles by playing with AB, and maybe improve his 3 by playing with one of the record 3 pt shooters in college basketball. 2 things that AB is great at, and lin is some what weak at. what negatives i think he brings to the table: lack of back court defense, and the potential to become once again a black hole on the offence, if he can play within the system than he can do good things here. but he has to accep

AB has to accept the back seat roll here in houston, when he blossomed as a rookie here in houston some ppl thought he had all star potential. he use to be the primary ball handler, but thats not the case anymore. i think he will find his way in this line up, he is still a very talented player. i hope AB could teach and help develop lin's handles and 3. if lin could improve in these two fields, i think his game will go up tremendously.
I think this is a fair review of AB. To the folks who are very worried about his attitude and only remember his play post-Ginobili incident, I would counter that he had 2 years in Phoenix, China, and Sacramento to wise up. It's possible he didn't learn anything, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise.
I wish the Rockets sign a guard can play D. Rockets have too many young players. Young players want to score and look good on box score.
yeah he has more years on him now, i remember he use to dribble too much at time and adelmans passing offence would come to a halt.
As long as he understands he is not and will never, ever be "The Man" and is willing to come off the bench in a "career backup" role, I am fine with him coming back.
Hmm ... he was last with the Rockets in the 2010-11 season when he was traded. If you're from the future ... can you tell us if the Rockets won a championship between now and the 2015-16 season?
How many minutes do you project Brooks to play for the Rockets? Both Lin and Beverley are better options right now: better handles, better court vision, better defense, better size.
he's there for me. Dumb 2k, they put he's a scoring point. His defense is really bad (in the game) His 3pt shot is higher then brooks, delfino, harden...lol 2k.
