Its a joke, but its obvious to me that he's going to be cutt(sorry couldn't help it) here in the next day or two in order to make room for Brooks. No way he contributes this year, or they pick his option up this Summer. He was never going to get a shot either way.
would be better spent on someone who could prove to be a bargain contract for next season. i'd rather they gambled on that international player. there's a reason why brooks lost out to jimmer for backup minutes.
So true. Like playing with tracy off the ball and he's not scared. That's the thing,he won't be lost or waiting when james makes a play. Good combo.
Aaron Brooks!!! I love this guy! He will fit perfectly in our style. He can run, he can shoot and he sucks at defense. PERFECT! I see him playing a lot more at the SG than PG.
So does that mean Lin's injury is more serious than previously mentioned? We wouldn't have minutes for Brooks if Lin and Beverley were healthy, as neither Beverley nor Brooks can guard SGs.
AB and Harden can give matching ****ty efforts on D together. Oh joy. If signed, he better see no time without injuries to Lin and Beverly.
Doubtful. Lin's minor injury probably had nothing to do with Beverly winning minutes in crunch time tonight either. Have to give some credit to Beverly... played outstanding. Brooks had a couple great years with Houston a few years ago for those who just started following the Rockets.... he's legit... Also, he's more of a "Scoring Guard" than a true PG. Can spot up and drill 3's out of his mind. Doubt he sees much PT either way, but he's definitely a great luxury to have even as a backup to your backup. Glad to see him back in Rockets Red.
Oooooooh, so does that mean Lowry is next? http://rockets.clutchfans.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/aaron_brooks_kyle_lowry1.jpg
He has a team option and will be expiring this Summer. Would be surprised, but not shocked at the next trade deadline in Feb 2014. T-Williams also tweeted about a month ago that nobody would be able to guess the team that he was looking to join back in the NBA, and a month later he signs with the Celtics. Just saying that it might have been a real possibility that the team was actually the Rockets that first took interest, and then vouched for T-Williams to sign in Boston after the trade deadline acquisitions changed their plans. After Brooks lost his starting job to Lowry due to injury there was rumored to be bad blood between Brooks and the team. Now he seems to be thrilled to rejoin to team. Maybe, just maybe the Rockets really aren't so bad after all to their players once they realize that the grass really isn't quite so green on the other side.
I remember when most of the posters said we had the best backcourt with brooks and Martin. Lol. I guess this backcourts gonna be even better
He's actually in the middle of a career shooting year. If you can get a potential rotation player without giving up any assets or damaging future cap, why not do it?
Wow, I remember when AB played with Houston. He was my favorite player for a while because he was such an amazing shooter. I remember a game at Sactown where he went like 7/7 from the 3pt line. Then he got injured and never regained the same form...
