AB doesn't care. He's here only for his shooting and veteran leadership. And believe me, he will shoot it
Oh well nvm then, Im all for it, would love to break out my AB Alternate jersey I bought during the first season we had them
If Brooks was never a Rocket all of you would be so excited by this signing. Too bad it reminds you guys of an era of playoffless Houston Rockets basketball. An era that came after Yao and McGrady and lasted 3 seasons. You guys probably wouldn't take Kevin Martin on this team for free . And I don't think Brooks' defense was bad. It's not much worse than Lin's defense. lulZ
Hmmm, well, Lin actually is a pretty decent defender I think, and Brooks was glaringly bad. Also, Brooks was on some playoff teams with us, so, I'm not sure what you are talking about at all.

I don't like AB is a traditional PG, but the guy can be a situation fit for the current Rockets, stretching the floor next to Harden (and perhaps Lin is the opponent SG is someone Lin can adequately cover). Small cost, important insurance down the stretch for injuries at PG. Kind of like Toney Douglas without the D but more consistent shooter. When AB succeeded with the Rockets, we played an easier inside-out game dumping the ball to Yao inside (AB wasn't too great at that either) with T-Mac as playmaker. AB would shoot on the kick-out from Yao or after the ball is swung around. With the current Rockets teams, he'll get it on kickouts from Harden/Lin PnR penetration, and from the ball being swung around. But defensively ... AB/Harden will be a nightmare (and not for the opponent). Having said that, with Beverley already a rookie and Lin is relatively inexperienced and inconsistent, it's better to get an experienced PG.
I choose to remember the '09 playoffs and him almost carrying us past the Lakers. Good times, but I'm glad that our future is finally more appealing our past.
I like this for nostalgia purposes only. We had Aaron Brooks during (arguably) our best year in the last 12 years.
Those were exciting times indeed; we loved Brooks as much as anyone else on the team ... until Lowry came along and outplayed him when he got that injury
Huh the return of Brooks? Well at least we have more point guard options in case lin/beverley go down
