I'd have to look at a list of available players. Let's just say I'm underwhelmed, not expecting much from him, and I wish we could have found someone who'd help our defense instead.
Man, you have really really really high expectations for a 2nd/3rd PG. I like the signing. He knows the team, knows the culture and should be just fine. Good pick-up.
we're not a good defensive team w/o brooks so he's not gonna hurt us there. he can be a nice scoring spark off the bench. i cant wait to see him on the court as a rocket again
Durvasa, if he plays worse than Bev, he won't get time over him. We probably wouldn't have signed anybody else not sure why you're so bent over the signing.
Woot! Good to have him back. He's an extra ballhandler and a potent weapon. Our bench is obviously pretty weak right now. Adding AB is pretty much risk-free.
since delfino / parsons are playing a lot of back up 4 minutes ... harden no longer has a back up .. why are we dismissing the fact that AB can be the back up for harden .. since he will be coming off the bench .. u can play the matchup and if team doesnt have a 6ft 5 plus guard in the game who is capable of doing offensive damage then we can put brooks in the game with lin or beverly and force the other team to go small (Esp if they cant take advantage of it on the other end) don nelson did this ALL The time .. heck it used to be done to the rockets when we had the likes of chuck hayes, john barry, ryan bowen et al.... also keep in mind that we will play a lot of mediocre teams which equals not a strong bench so we can take advantage of it while keeping guys like harden parsons delfino fresh for bigger games
You could argue that with Harden and Lin staggering playmaking duties, a player like Brooks could be even more explosive off the bench as shooting guard.
