34 is usually the last year of high performance for the superstars. Not like it's such an incredible feat. Well..i guess it is compared to scrubs like AI, tmac, vince, francis, marbury, etc. An era full of guys who only cared about flash with no drive.
Drexler at 34 is pretty impressive at 18, 6 and 6. Nique-24 and 6. Larry-19, 8.5,7 Jordan- 29, 6, 3. Most importantly, 32.4, 5, 3.5 and 6th championship in the playoffs. Lets see if Kobe goes out with a bang and gets LA to the playoffs and make a final run at that 6th ring. Doubt it, but would be fun to see. Anyone think he can do 20, 6 and 4 at 39 and 40 years old like MJ? I know he said hes only gonna play a few more years, but i call BS. I think he will play till 40 and try and get most points in a career kind of records and prove he can score at that like age like Jordan did.
Like him or not, his game is incredibly sharp for someone with that many miles on his legs. He would be a guy I would suspect of using PEDs. Especially considering he is willing to go to Germany for medical procedures. And please research various PEDs before claiming he isn't big enough or doesn't have a puffy face so he must be clean.
Anyone else find it funny that Kobe's career high in fg% would be the 2nd lowest for LeBron (what he shot as a 20 yr old at that) and lower than what Durant has shot in 4 of his 6 seasons?
Arguably a better offensive player than Jordan at 34. MJ could still play defense at that age though.
/hating Is this the thread where we celebrate 16 years of chucking? .513 eft as a career high? Hey, at least it was higher than Harden's rookie year.
They get easier buckets as they are taller and stronger and play the forward spots. He takes bad shot at times but he also has to take some shots that are extremely hard and he makes them. Kobe has a different game..
Lakers might not even finish the season with a winning record though, let alone playoffs. Pretty suggestive when you can take a guy have an offensive season like Kobe's having, pair him with guys like Nash and Howard, and his team still can't win.
