Nah, on their draft boad he was slated to be hired as undrafted rookie. Then he fell in their laps as a drafted rookie instead, along with a note pinned to his chest saying "you play him, we'll watch." They found it an offer they couldn't refuse.
Say all the negative stuff about Royce but when he played his first game down here in the RGV, he was the only player besides Smith to sign my poster and went out of his way to do it. I was able to talk to him and even got a sincere hand shake. Unlike TJones who already has a bad attitude like Morris had when he was playing down here last year in the RGV. They have the I am too good to sign anything or take the time to be happy for fans that support them and the team.
Forgiven? He has done what he believes will be of benefit to himself and others that have his condition. He has brought about a protocol that may help others with his condition function better in the league and in their everyday lives. If the Rockets don't agree that he will be of benefit to them after this year they can deal him somewhere else if need be. It is not that he signed my poster is the way he went about it. He didn't need to do it.
T Jones secretely volunteered at a childrens hospital at UK that media didnt have a clue about. Royce is worried about his image so he is going to sign posters. Please dont compare their character. Jones worked for his money while Royce was just chillin and gettin paid talking about he is scared.
There was no protocol implemented. You heard the guy. He wants his personal doc to override morey. Ain't happening. They didn't amend the CBA. Royce needed ca$h so he showed up finally.
I was at that game in the Astrodome. The Coogs were just killing Tulsa. Destroying them. Tulsa players were being carried off the field, seemingly half dead. Towards the end, the big crowd was chanting, "We want a hundred! We want a hundred!" The UH 3rd string players, put in because the drubbing of Tulsa was so bad, were running up the score. Tulsa was just helpless against them. It was groovy.
Watching the clip of White's road trip to LA, I can't imagine him being able to play at a high level for a full regular season while doing this on a regular basis.
I was going off some old info when I called it the second safest city in America. It's actually now the safest city in the USA http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_22523903/el-paso-ranked-safest-large-city-u-s
