wait is this really the game thread after a loss? i just checked in and all i see is mostly optimistic posts with constructive content...where is all the knee-jerk whining and panicking? where is all the finger-pointing and LOH/LOF flaming? just kidding...and were still making the playoffs...still cant believe morey shipped out 4 rotation guys...once we figure out the right rotations were gonna make some noise in the playoffs...this year and the next few too go rockets
Old me: meh, youngest team, new starting pf, rookie 2nd pf...all is forgiven New Age me: $(*$(##$__%*#(@^$#$%!!!!!!!!!!!
May not be the key to win a game cuz it could go into overtime, but sure was the key to lose last night's game.
But it doesn't mean that other team has to pay him 15 mil after the third year to get him. Could be somewhere between 8 and 15 mil.
Maybe, I mean that was our way of thinking last year and the year before that and we haven't gotten into the post season ever since freaking 08...
If TRob was going to be a superstar I would agree but I see no sign of that...and I'm not talking about just last nights game. Stars may not be consistant when they are rookies but they will show signs and TRob has shown no signs. And I normally don't care if do or don't make the playoffs as long as we are striving for rings. I don't see this move moving us closer in that direction. In fact, I see it as a step backward. If we would have left the team alone (ok maybe trade Morris to get DMo more time but that's it), I have no doubt we could have made the playoffs. A young team like that making the playoffs and making a good series in the 1st round would do nothing but create more swagger in these young guns walk, give them even more confidence, create even more chemistry (chemistry off the charts IMO) and raise each person's value. That can't be taught, bought or traded for.
LOL, can we just pretend that we will get better next year? Thanks. ---- DM, the manager of this Century.
Listen to 790, one guy insisted that JHarden was not great player, just a scorer. I kinda agree with him.
LOL, no, no, you got this wrong. If they lost, it is because of Harden, so they had stayed close to be in the game, otherwise it would be out of reach for the Rockets from the beginning.
When the whole team blew a 17-point lead by playing no defense in the first quarter and allowed it to be a close game (traded leads 17 times) after by playing lousy defense, then the luck factor took over at the last second. Remember the first two Portland games? In this sense you may say Lin "had little overall impact on the game." I guess no player on this team had any more overall impact on the game last night.
I woke up this morning, turned on ESPN, and the first basketball highlight I saw was Monta's game winner against us. Day instantly ruined.
