Why is it a great post? You're something else. Someone turned on Lin and you j*zz'ed all over the screen. But I could be wrong about you. Which part of Nook's post did you agree with? He said Lin had a blah game but he failed to mentioned that so did most of the team if we apply the formula. So what is it that you thought was so GREAT? Yeah, just as I thought. You're just another LOH with nothing interesting to add to the discussion.
Again, you're not reading things correctly. So we both play basketball at certain levels, so you're saying a teammate of yours having Lin's stats tonight: 10 points 7 assists 3 rebounds 3 steals 1 block shot 2 TOs ....has minimal impact? You must have high standards on your team....for me I call those solid overall numbers.
I think Lin could have closed it out. They went on a 6-0 run the last few minutes of the game with Lin at the point with a combo of his points and passes. Looks like the Rockets were going to run the Bucks out at that point...until they put the ball in Harden's hands again all the way on a limp leg. Oh yea, and the pathetic rebounding by all the Rockets at the last 5 seconds.
Fck it, stop blaming the players. I blame the coach! Dude has a B---H fit every game. He needs to show some composure to lead this young team..instead of walking off like a baby.
Yes...who said anything about just scoring? No one's comparing Lin's and CP3's game? LOL...get a grip.
#1 I didn't turn on Lin. I didn't say he was terrible or caused the Rockets to lose. #2 I agree with you, outside of Asik the Rockets were a ball of bad (Parsons) to mediocre (Harden/Lin). #3 I wasn't hating on anyone... Earlier I complained about Harden's string of inevitable 5-8 turnover games, Parsons lack of common sense and the vanishing act of Lin... Only one I didn't criticize was Asik.. And if it makes you feel better he has stone hands.
I couldn't agree with you more. However, some of the blame needs to be redirected at Morey...how can you coach when you get a new roster every few months.
It is mind boggling that a role player (according to many posters here) such as Lin must be singlehandedly held accountable for every Rocket loss. IMO, if we are going to truly assess if Lin is worth his salt, let him take over the reins of this Rocket team with no coach interference. If he still puts up blah stats, then I agree it's on him. Until then, all you LOHs can STFU.
You could be right... and yeah the rebounding is a real issue at key points. This is not the first or last time it will be a killer.
The game was tied, we need a rebound more than we need a 3. Having a 7 footer in there for rebound would have at least gotten us to OT.
Morey doesn't give a damn about this season and I am sure it makes McHale's job hard. The guy was basically given a new team before training camp and told to win.
Nothing directed at you, Nook. You've always been an unbiased poster. I agreed with your breakdown of Lin's performance tonight. I just don't believe the other poster understands the full implication of your analysis. No, I didn't think Lin's stats were anything to write home about either. It's definitely not CP3-esque. I also don't think Lin's performance was the main reason of this terrible loss tonight.
Close games like this is where great coaches or veterans shine...unfortunately we have neither. Well, it's nice seeing Portland lose but not much faith with Wolves tomorrow (at Lakers) or Bobcats (at Utah). Miracle might still happen and they both lose, Houston beats the pit of all team in Orlando, and GS lose to Boston on Friday.
