this thread is finally turning into dissing lin just like other threads. i am done with this thread. bye bye.
Remember that thread where I said Ellis was similar to Billups - a talented player pegged with a bad reputation because he's been on losing teams. Then everyone here said I didn't know basketball, and insulted me with profanities? Maybe you guys should actually watch Ellis play instead of looking at boxscores.
I don't think so as those numbers suggest otherwise that he had impact on the game. Yes a point guard is called a point guard for this primary to create shots and do the little things for the team to win....the position is NOT designed for a player to have 20 or 30 plus points. The guy had 7 assists...that itself is a critical component of the point guard position. I laugh at people looking at Lin's stat's and still say he had little impact on the game.
To be fair, they actually went full r****dé for 8 games in that stretch. They managed to squeeze out a win in the last game. They have since cut down to only going full r****dé for 2 to 3.5 quarters a game.
I was at the game tonight. Asik and Montiejunas looked like they were stuck in cement when it came to defensive rotations. Lin got abused like a child kidnapped by a pedophile the whole night by whoever was playing pg for the Bucks.
Mchale expects too much from this young team... Know it sounds crazy but I'm too tired to explain. I'm going to bed and I'm a wake up and go on as if this game never happened. I'm a rockets fan today and will be a rockets fan tomorrow.
Every loss must be on Lin, but you know what, Last time I checked Lins not the best player on the team nor does he get paid the most. Hell, he doesn't even play PG.
I thought I was the only one who saw this. I guess you had to be at the game to notice this. Omg people on this board though I had no clue.
Nice try. Lin was on Jennings the whole time and played great defense on him. Asik also played great defense, as always. Looks like you're talking out of your bumpy rectum.
Again, make up your mind... Are you relying on stats or not? No one looked at the stat line and said he had little impact on the game, until you based your argument on his stat line. I watched the game. I played basketball in college. Lin certainly is not the reason the Rockets lost. However he had little overall impact in the outcome of the game. I don't know whose fault it is, but he is capable of more than he has consistently shown this season. When he is good, he is really good.. But too many meh periods.
My calcs includes the TOs...if you looked close enough. Also, if you read my thing about CP3...you have it incorrect...stats DO matter that's why CP3 having only 15 points but 10 assists has more impact than Melo scoring 30 points (assuming no assists/rebounds, yada). No you need help if you thought I didn't think CP3 was elite.
Jeremy had 29 points and 3 turnovers in the Thunder game. James had 25 points and 7 turnovers in the Bucks game. “Sometimes he’d rather have 25 points and 7 turnovers and I tell him, ‘James, we’re trying to win,’ ” McHale said to himself.
I know Asik had a good game overall, but I can't stand to watch him miss so many chip shots. At least thrice a game, he throws up a shot that's just pathetic considering his size and distance from the rim.
Great post. And when they were 12-3, they managed to avoid r****dé for half a quarter. Like you said now, now they go 3.5 quarters of full r****dé, i.e., ISO harden, Parsons PG, Delfino's hail mary.
If you make any type of criticism of anyone, it simply means you rode down to Toyota center, drug them out into the street, "hated" on them, and then violently beat them. There is no middle ground, you simply aren't allowed to be a Rockets fan with constructive criticism or a opinion. You have to either be all in for a player or you're a hater. I don't hate the guy, I root for his success, because my team's success is tied to him.. sorry if I'm not seeing early returns on our investment. I really thought he would be more consistent by now.
Again... Who said anything about just scoring? Are you comparing Lin's play today to a typical Chris Paul game? Are you comparing Lin's stat line tonight to a typical Chris Paul stat line? If not then it is irrelevant.
