I didn't see McHale's post game conference but I have psychic abilities and know what he said.. THE BALL GOT STICKY WE JUST DIDN"T HAVE ANY SPARK YOUNG GUYS WILL DO THAT SOMETIMES CARLOS IS A VET, HE"S JUST A SOLID SOLID PLAYER
I just want to know why McHale keeps playing Delfino at the 4 in situations where we desperately need a rebound. Someone please explain this to me. Even Bill, Bull, and Clyde were making fun of it. Wtf? Why does this keep happening?
Numbers can deceive you because you can make the numbers and stats look good or bad in so many ways. Lin is a star player I admit that and I admit McHale is holding him back from letting him shine. So Lin has to play over McHale's head IMO. Defensively he's making big strides but I personally don't expect him to be a great defender due to the nba speed of most point guards in the nba and Lin being able to read and react with physical quickness and strength... That's tough to do consistently.
he is the worst spot up shooter but somehow our coaches and our fans here want him to show his weakness to the world.
the thing that is funny is that in the first qtr and I mentioned it then, the democratic basketball was so crisp. Even if harden ended up shooting, everyone was getting their hands on the ball. then, it was just a lot of stand and watch harden and parsons. As a coach, just like you tell lin to move the ball, you have to do the same to the others. you don't want them to develop bad habits.
http://www.nba.com/games/20130227/MILHOU/gameinfo.html Everybodies happy but Houston... Brandon Jennings last 2 games: @ Dallas: 8 points on 3-11 FG and 0-1 from 3 3 rebounds vs. Atlanta 11 points on 4-11 FG and 1-4 from 3 2 rebounds Tonight he still managed to get his 6 assists, shot 40% from three, grabbed 4 rebounds, and only turned the ball over once ( averages 2.7 per game). Thanks Lin.
You being idiotic - Lin come in with 5:28 left 4th. On Defense 5:28 covers JJ Redick who miss both his shot though one was wide, but Lin does his job. 3:59 get d rebound - ONLY Rocket not name Asik get F__King rebound last 5 plus minute. 3:05 Brandon Jennings come in for JJ - Lin cover him. Does not let him get any penetration including very tight D on last play forcing Jenning to pass it. On Offense 4:15 - make 2pt layup 3:46 - drives in gives WIDE open look to Parson for 3pt shot 3:05 - drives in get Big to collapse and misses shot that really like a pass to Asik for a dunk. 2:38 - drive in get Big to collapse for another Asik o-reb. Asik unfortunate get blocked this time. Now we got into Harden hero ball, but it last 2 minutes I fully expect Harden to take over. Is this what your complaining about him being passive? http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/playbyplay?gameId=400278576&period=4
I'm not at all surprised... play the veteran and more experienced player that so happens to be the best 3 point shooter on the team.
Free throws might have made a difference we have to start making them more consistently. vs Washington 8-14 and we lost by 2 vs Bucks 16-25 and lost by 3 in a desperation shot...
What you are talking about is after the fact, and in regards to teammates. What I'm talking about is the risk Harden will become TMac or Melo because of his primary strength, and what he lacks beyond that. The team may land another superstar in the future, but that does not mitigate the facts in terms of what he is as a player now and how he is different than MJ, Kobe, or Labron, who are all different types of players, even without their sidekicks as you mentioned.
They play a lil better defense when Asik is in the game and play worst when he goes out. Need another shot blocker.
We are overreacting yes but we just can't afford to lose these games any more. We have lost against Wizards , Kings and now Bucks these last few games. That is just inexcusable if we wish to make playoffs.
"Lin disappears for quarters" Coach to Lin: Keep Linsanity in check. Pass the ball to Harden. Play safe basketball. Sometimes it feels like Lin is fighting his natural urge to play aggressive BB because he is following coach's orders.
