I remembered when he died one of the R&B stations in Milwaukee played all of his music for that summer. After the 4th day I was like "enough already" but by the 2nd week I was like "damn! this guy had so much music".

EASILY my favorite R&B singer of all time. The man is amazing.
If you want to learn more about his amazing life, I would suggest checking out Divided Soul: The Life of Marvin Gaye by David Ritz... Excellent read, I believe Rolling Stone Magazine called it the best Rock biography of all time.

Hip to get drunk got the 8 in my lips
Put in the old tape Marvin Gaye's greatest hits...

I used to live near Fleming Middle School. We used to visit a laundromat that had nothing but older people playing all the old Motown singers... that's how I learned about the old Blues and Jazz musicians, and mostly the Motown peeps like Gaye. Now I can recognize each singer. This Mexican boy knows your songs... YES.
    Fixed your English.

    ^ Both are solid.

That said, Gaye is the king of R&B. "What's Going On (album)" is one of the greatest albums ever made and is still very relevant today, if not more relevant.

I'm a guy and a tear almost came to my eye when I listened to "Save the Children" and it has inspired me.
