He's right. The war on drugs feeds the system. Most people on this board are able to get drugs whenever they want. Probably would take you less than 2 hours to get anything from pills to coke or heroin. It is a pointless venture IMO. An estimated quarter of a trillion dollars spent in the last 10 years to and we can still get drugs on command. The prison system spits out criminals that in many cases have only gotten worse.

I don't necessarily agree with the premise of this because you're implying that there's some golden moral code (and i feel like there's some religious undertones to this) that separates good people from bad people.

I have been inside a prison (Darrington) and talked to a lot of inmates. A commonality among all of the prisoners was a lack of a father/father figure growing up. It is an interesting sight when all the prisoners line up to send cards to their mom on Mother's Day but no one wants to send a card to their father on Father's Day.

 

For that reason, having a stable family is one way to avoid ending up in a prison.

 

Except that in Norway and other Scandinavian countries the institution of marriage is in serious decline and half of all children are born out of wedlock.

Also in regards to your statement not being racist do you know that the definition of "Ghetto" is: a section of a city, especially a thickly populated slum area, inhabited predominantly by members of an ethnic or other minority group, often as a result of social or economic restrictions, pressures, or hardships
