More of the same. I would expect more from a supposed school teacher. The real losers are your students.

To you perhaps, but on the grand scheme of things 1 panda or 1 any other endanger species is worth much more to the planet and perhaps even the long term survival of the human race than 1 human life.

Did you really just say that pandas are more important than humans for the long term survival of the human race?

I would love to hear the reasoning behind that.

    i said 1 panda vs 1 human.

There are 7 billion humans and only 2000-3000 pandas.

Maybe with the exception of humans, every species plays a role in the ecosystem. As a probably already overpopulated species, one less human will not lead to our extinction and will not cause any disruption in the ecosystem. On the other hand as an endangered species, having one less panda will have a noticeable increase in the chances of extinction and noticeable increase in the chance of causing further disruptions in their natural habitat's ecosystem

I agree. The world is already dangerously overpopulated with humans.

Well, if you're paying attention to global warming, the next 50-100 years are really going to suck if you're an ecosystem.

    Nature always finds a way.

Have you never seen Jurassic Park?

Either way, if the extinction of pandas occurred, and it somehow effected the ecosystem, you would probably only know about it because a human reported it on the news, or typed about it on their blog or put a video on youtube.

Humans can speak to other humans on the opposite side of the planet without much effort.

We've also sent our species into outer space, a claim which pandas cannot make.

Yeah, pandas have antimicrobial whatever in their blood.

You know who figured that out?

    A human.

    Pandas don't know ****.

And if it wasn't a panda, a human would have found it somewhere else.

Because we're smart, and resourceful, and there's a reason that we run the planet.

How many centuries has it been since the Greeks taught us about hubris? And we still fail to heed the lesson.
