I like Irving but I dnt see how he's ahead of the beard. Guy plays no defense and hogs the ball. Hardens turned this team to a playoff team out west Irving can't get get it done in the east with similar young talent around him.

Westbrook yea right lol he's not a leader nothing to do with his talent.

He's younger, a better shooter today and probably a more explosive/efficient scorer in the future. Potentially a better playmaker.

I'm not saying I'd take one over the other, but if you can't see any case for him, you need to take off your Rockets shades.

    I'd put it like this:

    James
    Durant
    Harden

I would have Paul over Harden, but James Harden is over 4 years younger, and hasn't had a history of the "i" word. (yeah, I'm superstitious when it comes to our guys and the "i" word... talking openly about the possiblity is bad juju)

Nah, Harden is great but no way is he top 4. He comes across to me as a better (projected) Paul Pierce type player, he is an equal piece to a second super star but not THE piece to build around as the other players on the list.

You're acting like James has reached his peak. In the future when Irving improves his scoring guess what? So will James.

When Irving improves his playmaking , so will James.

You can argue that Irving has a better supporting cast than James yet his team isn't even in the playoff hunt in a weak conference.

Besides James also out dueled Kylie in our last matchup :p

That's pretty ridiculous too... People thinking Irving supporting cast his trash but last night Irving's supporting cast beat Rose's.

Harden is 23 years old. If your case for Irving is purely based on how much he could get better in the future, Harden has an equal or better chance of improving just as much.

But as of today, Harden is a better scorer, a better facilitator, a better defender, and a better winner. He is literally better at every aspect of the game. And has the opportunity to widen that edge even further as he continues to improve.

Howard is obviously having a bad year, but I still put him top 3 going forward.

Unless he develops a really good post game real quick, he is not a superstar to build around.

The cavaliers have Tristan Thompson who is a solid 4, waiters who has proven he can score at an nba level and some solid role players. Not to mention Alonzo gee who is a good nba 3.

Yesterday they beat a solid bulls team without kyrie.

Definitely before Irving and Westbrook but behind Chris Paul. Paul is simply amazing and when u see the Clippers with him and without him you know why he's #3.

    1. Lebron
    2. Durant
    3. Paul
    4. Harden
    5. Howard

Westbrook is the only one on this list that makes me pause a little. A fantastic top ten player, not doubt, but where is D-Rose? Westbrook is a little too erractic to be a #1 guy in my mind. At this point I might even put Lillard and David Lee ahead of him here.

    For me it's:

    1) Lebron
    2) Durant
    3a) Harden
    3b) CP3

CP3 makes other players better and imo is the better player today, but Harden is much younger and CP3's injury concerns worry me.

That one would be a super close one. Had CP3 had no injury concerns, I think there'd be a debate with him over Durant, closing in on Lebron.

Remember that Clipper's team is a 30 win team without CP3, with him healthy the whole year they'd get close to 60, that is insane.
