From a couple of days ago.

McHale: "D-Mo got his time to play more, 'cause it started through practice, even though he wasn't playing a lot. In practice, they said they wanted to move him down to the D-League, go back to the Vipers. I said, "No, he's practicising so well. I've got to find a way to get him in the game."

Sooo, out of all that, the only thing you take are a few words related to Jeremy Lin and expand upon that?

Wow, Lin fans are the ultimate nut huggers.

This thread is about our youngsters getting much needed/deserved PT. But of course in your world, only Lin matters.

You dont get it, its not petty, Mchale was touted as being a coach that will play our ROOKIES, but Mchale decided to drop the ball, not playing rookies is why RA was fired plus his salary was too much for a team going nowhere.

Nothing silly about Moreys and Les' vision of developing our prospects. That trade was a combination of jumping on a great prospect (Thomas Rob) and freeing up PT for our 'New Age' talent.

But Morey wasnt trading at the expense of winning, he knows tgis team will keep tickin just fine without Morris/Pat. Hes made calculated trades/decisions before and hes hit every time. Trading for Lowry, gutting the entire team last summer, etc. Morey deserves the benefit of the doubt, hes earned it.

Also, it's easier to be critical of McHale when you can just make up your evidence.

Again, McHale is Morey's coach. Adeled-man was let go because he would not implement Morey's wishes. With McHale that is not a problem. You did notice that D-Mo had started to collect significant minutes before the trade deadline didn't you? Rookie progress and minutes is not solely McHale's decision. Rookie evaluation is an organizational effort, and McHale as the public face of the coaching staff just takes the heat from the fans who lack knowledge and understanding.

And don't forget about PPat's contract... I think all of these factors came into play.

I think its a good point. Also, McHale has been in the front office and knows how that part of the game is played. He is more likely to play along and be involved with the front office. I don't know if that is a good thing in the long run. It might turn out to be bad and be a lesson in not having a GM as your coach or it might turn out to be a new thing that is the wave of the future, we shall see.

The only thing that I am sure of is that the Rockets are Morey's team now. Basically everything is on him. It is a good thing that he is the sharpest tool in the shed.
