Haven't watched the video yet but Doug Collins is a goner after the season. Players can't take him for more than a year or two. I said at the time the Sixers made a mistake hiring the guy. They better not choose him to coach Team USA.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>One thing that Collins presser really hammered home - they gave up Iggy, Vucevic, and Harkless and got back Bynum. Ouch.</p>— Haralabos Voulgaris (@haralabob) <a href="https://twitter.com/haralabob/status/306632493380034561" data-datetime="2013-02-26T23:10:58+00:00">February 26, 2013</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> this is pretty awful, they gave away a bunch of their assets for a soon to be free agent who never played a minute I'd be angry were I the coach.
Really? All I got out of it is that "he cares more than anyone else" and " he is harder on himself than anyone else" and he has his team ready to play, and they are prepared... Sounded like an over blown windbag basically removing himself from liability, then making excuses for his teams failures and then saying "I am not making excuses". I would eventually tune him out as well if I were a player... Like the lyrics from a great song; he said a whole lot of nothing.
How can anyone hate on Collins? The guy did a miraculous job last year and this season his main piece bynum has been out all year. The stuff he said during the post game conference were spot on as well.
You'll be PO too if they traded away your best defender, and two excellent prospect for an overweight center who can even get on the court. Collins wanted to develop Harkless and Vucevic. Sixers should of never gave up Vucevic, dude is ballin'.
