Anyone watch the game last night? Good god, that was some of the absolute worst officiating I've EVER seen in a game. Kobe cries, refs call fouls. Dwight cries, refs call fouls. Nash cries, he still looks like he has teh aidz. Oh, and that move Iggy put on Kobe in the second quarter, yeah that was AWESOME.
Can the Lakers deliver on Kobe Bryant’s postseason guarantee? http://nba.si.com/2013/02/26/kobe-bryant-los-angeles-lakers-playoffs-guarantee/ Good article comparing Lakers-Rockets-Jazz in a variety of ways.
Kobe received his NBA leading 14th Technical Foul of the season last night. that means he gets one more free pass until his frustration from being on a losing team boils over and he will be suspended for a game on his 16th and every other T after that. think he can control his temper or more than likely- the NBA will review his T's from now on and probably rescind at least one, if not last night's? edited update: almost on cue

The Lakers announce that the technical foul Kobe picked up vs. DEN, which would have been his 14th of the season, has been rescinded
— Dave McMenamin (@mcten) February 26, 2013
back to 13. he gets two passes for 24 games
Dwight's situation kinda reminds me of LeBron. It is not secret Dwight is pretty weak mentally and his personality is way different when you compare him to Kobe or Jordan or Shaq. He's more like LeBron. Yes, he is not on LeBron's level but he can be a great player you can build around but he just needs to break through. In my eyes he need to leave LA because it ain't gonna work. He just doesn't fit their approach and of course he doesn't fit in Mike's system. Too many things have happend. And he needs to get healthlier but i think the main reason he is struggling is because he simply doesn't have fun while playing...
I say Lakers in, Jazz out. Rockets finish 7th and get to have the intrigue of Harden playing OKC in the first round. Absent a first round upset - which imo is equally unlikely against any of SA, OKC, Clippers - this is the best possible outcome. For one, the Lakers in the lottery means a top 3 pick for them because they're the Lakers. Making the playoffs and losing in the first round is fine. There is some risk that it encourages Dwight to stay with them but I don't think he changes his mind if they barely make the playoffs or don't. Second, HOU-OKC is a fairly marquee matchup. Clearly SA-LA will get the best primetime slot but nobody will care about Den-Mem and Clippers-Warriors is nice but doesn't have the Harden against his old team angle. There's not a single eastern matchup that looks exciting to me in the first round. Now if the Rockets can pull the upset they can go against the Clippers next. An LA team, Harden back in his hometown. Perfect. Pull the upset there and setup a HOU-SA matchup. Nice. Not saying any of the above is likely, but it is the perfect setup for this squad.
Umm obviously LA. I don't get why people still hate Utah. LA has been getting too much glory, it's time for them to go down.
If Lakers don't make the playoffs then Dwight is gone. Kobe isn't going to approve of him coming back after failing to make the playoffs for the second time in his career.
