Opinions could change. Maybe he now feels Lin is deliberately not willing to curtail his game?? The word "rather" is telling. More telling is his comment about Lin after the Thunder game. 29 points in this quote is not a co-incidence.

ok let me be fairer, maybe McHale now feels, Lin "sometimes" would rather not curtail his natural game even if its at the expense of the team. Happy?

You know what else he said after the OKC game? That he couldn't be happier with Lin and that hes getting better every day. Troll.

I'm glad you are here to tell us that McHale's opinion has changed, I mean we'd just have to go by what he says without you here to translate it all for us. The word "rather" means that he'd rather play style A than style B, that's it. Please just quit. You make objective Lin fans look bad by flooding this thread with your ridiculous BS.

THIS is where you draw the line on what others think McHale was really saying?? LOL wow.. trust me, these 65 pages is all about you guys interpreting what McHale really meant and the context. His words are clear as day. Rather play style A and B? wtf. Right after the rather, he mentions "we are trying to win". Reading comprehension please.

I joined in 2012, am a Lin fan, and have never felt unwelcome here.

There is no such thing as a Lin Only Hater, apart from one or two weird trolls (butthurt Knicks fans, I suspect). Rockets fans who don't think Lin is the next Steve Nash don't ONLY anything -- it's just one opinion of a Rockets player among many other such opinions.

I hate Carmelo Anthony. I wish the Knicks had kept Gallo. Nobody calls me a Melo Only Hater for this thought.

Dude, if someone is consistently in threads going around looking to troll Lin fans, I will call you LOH, no ifs and buts. Don't like it, dont go segregating and calling people out based on year joined.

Your opinion is also an interpretation. My opinion is my interpretation of what I think he is saying. Everyone is giving their own interpretation. You can't say what you are saying is fact, because you, like everyone else here, does not know what he meant. We were only given 1 sentence, not much we could do with that.

Wtf were you talking about yourself for, I dont care how nicely everyone treated you personally, who cares. LOF is a common slur against new fans, you went off on a fail tangent.

You said it in the first sentence: trying to troll Lin fans. That does not make them LOH, which implies they hate Lin and are ONLY here to hate him. Think of those people more as Lin (only) fan haters. I highly doubt people came here just to hate on link unless they are Knicks fans (like the other guy mentioned). You calling everyone LOH is just as bad as the people calling some fans LOF just for posting nice things about Lin. Some people don't understand the "O" out of LOF/LOHs

agreed but is it really that ambigious??

Sometimes he would rather score 29 points 9 TOs and I have to remind him we are trying to win here Jeremy.

That doesnt say its just his nature to hit homeruns, that says, sometimes he would rather hit homeruns at the expense of a win. I just don't think its ambiguous and out of context. To each their own.

Still didn't answer what he said about Lin in his post game interview. Anyway, During their beef, McHale would even praise Lowry on how well he is playing. We know how much they liked each other now. Anyway it isnt about how much McHale LOVES Lin, its about this quote he made in public. Thats all. Might be hard to believe, I really don't care about his personal relationship with Lin.

Assessing McHale: Who set up the run and gun?

I am hoping some people can answer a question I have. What was the source of Houston's run and gun offense?

Was it something that Morey instructed McHale to do? Was it something that McHale pushed for because he saw the players that we had. Or was it something the players themselves sort of assume themselves as they started playing with each other? Or was it something that the PG kinda pushed since he's controlling the ball?

This is true. The only reason why BleedRed doesn't get more criticism is because of his join date. If a new member made such comments, this thread would be even worse. The segregating and name calling based on join date is pretty bad around here.

I was one of the ones who raised to 2012ers issue, because I thought the thread was being flooded by some LOF's about 25 pages ago. I just want to say I welcome everyone from every time, and I hope everyone welcomes me.

This thread used to annoy me, but now I believe it has epic potential, if only the true believers can carry it to 100 pages or more.
