This is not true and needlessly divisive on your part.

Plenty of people in this thread who like Lin don't have a problem with the comment.

Honestly I don't know how anyone can be this passionate about one sentence from McHale as BleedRed. A member from 2009 with 400 post throughout the years and 200 of them probably in this thread alone. Some real life experience with being "called out" in public?

Very few people are going to criticize someone for praising Lin or any other player on the team. But if someone is extremely negative or accusatory towards someone in the organization and they repeat the accusation ad nauseum, they should be prepared to defend that position.

This is a forum for things Rockets related, Lin and Mchale are rockets players.

Those people (the high rep like Deckare) have been "hating" on you for your nonsense babbling, not the content.

omg.. we already had this discussion. McHale called Lin a homerun hitter by nature who needs to take singles/doubles for the betterment of the team. How is it so hard to believe that in his lates comment Lin would rather score a homerun at the expense of the team? One is a saying Lin needs to stop naturally going Linsanity because it will hurt the team, second he is calling Lin out that Lin would rather go that route.

Things could have progressed to a point where McHale now feels Lin is not willing to curtail his game and rather hit homeruns despite knowing its bad for team???? Who the heck knows how McHale's role with Lin has progressed since the Golden State game? Anyway, go watch his interview after Lin scored 29 pts. Says a lot about how he felt about Lin. I am done with this line of argument.

umad? Dude, aren't you guys, Superstar, Bobbythegreat the usual suspects who go to EVERY single forum looking for Lin thread and diss on him? At least I am doing it only in this one. Don't think I am the one doing the trolling here.

    Thanks! Same goes to you!

I still have no clue why you think this thread would belong in the nba dish, the section where information about the rest of the nba goes.

    Read this:
Anything and everything about the Houston rockets. Hmm I have a feeling Lin and Mchale, members of the rockets, falls under that.

This thread has gotten us nowhere, all this pointless comments and still we have people with different opinions. No point in continuing, its not that significant of a quote

Well to be fair to me, I am "conversating" with multiple LOHs, so I am making up for at least 4 LOFs. Hence the post count. lol

Thank god you are done. I have seen you miss the point dozens of times already, it's tiresome. I'll leave you with this, saying someone would sometimes rather play style A than style B is not saying that they don't care about the team or that they don't care about the team winning. I also get that there is no way that will ever get through to you, hopefully you just stop so this stupid thread will finally die. There is a reason no reputable news or sports outlet is carrying this story, because it's completely ridiculous.

So why did you divide everyone into Lin fans vs Lin haters?

I have never, ever "dissed" Lin. Other than Derrick Rose, he's my favorite player in the NBA. (Check my join date.)

This is all you got after 200 posts? People who don't think McHale is a LOH (an entity that doesn't really exist anyway, unlike LOFs) are trolls who spend their time looking to diss Lin?

Quick Lin is having a Q & A via facebook. You can ask him questions about his relationship with McHale!

    @JLin7

just got back from practice...impromptu q&a on http://facebook.com/jeremylin7 right now!!

Look its not significant a quote because you are not a Lin fan like of us are. If tomorrow that same quote was about Parsons, I would totally expect his fans to be outraged. What I wouldnt do is like, go trolling like some of these perennial LOHs. If they don't think its a big deal, stop posting here. Trust me, it will die. But you post the same lame made up excuses for the quote, I reply back with the same counter.

Dude just because he said Lin's natural style is to go Linsanity doesnt mean he would not blame Lin for deliberately not curtailing his style at the expense of his team. His quote clearly said "rather".

Are you serious? It's the pre 2012ers who divide by calling people LOFs and tries to segregate them through the dates, I am just playing their game. Revisionist history anyone.

And he clearly said before (and you ignored it) that it is perfectly natural for young players to want to be home run hitters at this stage of their careers, he further said that Lin has made huge strides and has shown improvement every day.....of course McHale was really saying that he hates him.
