I have been wondering what is it like to watch CSN Houston. When I went to their website, I noticed that it is almost like "Sportscenter" but its about sports in Houston. I heard that there's cool graphics, plenty of studio interviews, and a lot mores. I think CSN Houston is a better product than FSN Houston for many reasons. I know its frustrating for people who don't have CSN Houston and that I really hope there's agreement deal soon.

For those of you who have CSN Houston, can you tell people including me about what is it like watching CSN Houston? What things they have that people did not know about? Is it addictive to watch? Do you like CSN Houston a lot more than FSN Houston? Anything you can share with us and I thank you for that.

Honestly it's great they cover all houston teams great and have a sportscenter type show for houston teams. If you vote no your probably a hater and don't have the channel.

Poll results will be worthless since people without Comcast will all vote no.

    Lol.

    Howard Chen < Sara Exkert?

Anyway, I only watch CSN Houston whenever there is a Houston Rockets game. But if you are a sports fanatic and you love the Houston sports team, CSN Houston is the channel that you might want to have. They cover most of the Houston sports team --- from the Houston Rockets to the Houston Dynamo. Even though they do not show the Houston Texans, they try to have interviews and analysis with the coaches and players.

Now, if you are only a Houston Rockets fan it is one of the best way to know about the team. Whenever there is a game, they have a Pre-Game Show and a Post-Game Show --- Calvin Murphy is one of the host. I actually like to hear his opinion. He is a very entertaining and smart old guy. So if you like Calvin Murphy, then CSN Houston is for you. Other than the Pre-Game and Post-Game Shows, they have a show just for the Houston Rockets. It is a 30-minute show that reviews the past games and talk about the players.

So overall CSN Houston is a good product. Can they improve it? Yes. Is it good enough? I think so.

When I've managed to get glimpses of it, it seems pretty nice.

Depends on what you're looking to get out of your sports coverage. If you want to hear stories about the Heat or Lakers for the 18th time or you want five stories about Tim Tebow's choice of breathmints on any given Sunday, then you're correct, it's not as good ESPN, obviously.

Fsnhouston had a lot of dfw coverage since it was considered a smaller branch of Fsnsouthwest (based out of dfw), if I'm not mistaken. Never liked that since I couldn't give a rats ass about dfw sports.

I like the sports talk live where they have local media and players come on to chime in on topics. Clutch has been on a couple of times and maybe next time he'll have a clutchfans tshirt on. ;)

Overall I like the local flavor to the channel, when I get sick of espn talking about lakers or heat crap. I hope the website will have more content in the future, for people who missed seeing the content on tv.

I really only watch it when the Rocket's game is on and it is fine. Nothing to complain about if you have comcast, nor anything to make it super special. Really I would be interested to hear what the people who claim to have it and voted no gave as their reason.

It's a great product in my opinion, but even though I have it myself, it's pretty unacceptable that they have this agreement debacle going along, so for that, I had to vote "no".

However...the product itself is very good, once again.

As an all Houston sports fan, its pretty great. The programming is only geared towards the Houston area which is a welcome change to the constant large market focus of the four letter network. They have some interesting sports talk shows, and in particular Kevin Eschenfelder (sp) has some great interviews, one was a pretty candid one with Biggio that I really enjoyed.

For the Rockets game's in particular, watching Calvin has been amazing, as Im sure many of you, like myself, missed him tremendously. He bleeds Rockets red, whenever they lose you can tell he is genuinely upset, and is elated whenever they win. Plus the chemistry between him and the other guy (cant remember his name off top of my head) is really great. I could go without HoChenCSN but I understand who they are targeted with his segments.

It sucks that not everyone can get the network right now, but once they make it available, Im sure everyone will love it and see a huge upgrade over the old FSN coverage.

As much as I've watched at sports bars I'd say its a great product for Houston sports fans.

I love the sit downs with local media but once you get Clutch to sit down and talk Rockets you OWN any other sports TV

I'm guessing people voting no don't have Comcast.

The talent comes off as a bit too uptight. The material is very dull. Vanilla... the picture quality, graphics, production -- it's great. Way better than I could have imagined for a small local channel. They need more opinionated on-air talent and more live stuff.

ESPN always feels live, even a rerun of Sportscenter, CSN almost always feels like a replay. In sports if you're not current you're irrelevant. Go ahead and stream from the 790 studio or something.

I like it though, best I've seen the Rockets represented since we were regulars on the NBA on NBC.

I really like CSN, aside from the broadcasting problems everyone is dealing with. I thought it was a leap forward over FSSW. They do get pretty good information and don't just repeat the same stuff over and over.

I'd spend the extra cash for Comcast just to watch the Rockets games. I believe Comcast has a better product than any Satellite provider anyway. For me, the broadcast team + the studio team makes it fun to watch mainly after the games are over. Pregame stuff is fluff but some people like the lead in. Postgame analysis is good but I enjoy the cuts to the broadcast team, then coach interview, then several player interviews... Overall, its a nice product and well worth paying through the nose for Comcast.
