umm.. I'm pretty sure Christians believe the Bible is the only true religious scripture... Are you saying Christians believe the Quran came from god?

so it gives ppl an ego boost

does that change the fact that Christians believe Jesus is the ONLY path towards Heaven and all other paths lead to eternal hell?

    no it doesn't.

and it doesnt change the fact islam has its own bias on who gets in or not.

all 3 monotheistic religions are pretty much the same. its just bc of the quran being unchanged, and muhammad being the last messenger, muslims have an ego component about

now in my opinion im still having a fun, challenging discussion. but if someone thinks this is too D&D then feel free to move it

There is but only One Truth, even though the Sages know it by different names.

So, whether we call God as Brahman, or Allāh, or Yahveh, or the Lord, or Nirankār, or Ahura Mazdā, or Supreme Being, they all refer to the one unknowable, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, timeless, unbounded manifestation we call God.

Hindu theology accepts and respects truths from all religions. And Hinduism says that people of all religions worship the same God – the God that manifests in the universe and beyond, and in nature. The one God in everything that we know about, and in everything that is un-knowable.

    why are you getting annoyed?

muslims, and "nonmuslims" are allowed to practice their religion so freely in this country. just like how they are able to practice their religion so freely in my country (india).

however if i go to any true muslim state...Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, etc...would i be able to openly go open churches and mandirs and openly practice my religion?

dont be annoyed...be grateful that you are able to live a fulfilling life...practice your religion in huge mosques around the country and FOR THE MOST PART (not always) no one says anything.

im a punjabi hindu..and yes i have run in to racist people before...but by in large, they are very few...and others may do a good job in hiding it.

but everyone in this country can openly practice their respective religion...that is why i am proud to live here.

is it your opinion that we are to fear God like an authoritarian figure of a male persuasion or rather that it is actually an energy with a touch of femininity, for lack of a better word.

im not sure exactly what you are asking, maybe you could clarify. but yes in hinduism we think of God more as an omnipresent energy.

all forms of hindu Gods that you see in pictures that you see Hindus follow are just human forms of this omnipresent being...made so that it is easier for uneducated people to worship their religion. the ones who couldn't read the vedas, because the true form of reaching god is through meditation..where in you find God in yourself.

im mostly referring to Abrahamic religions' tendency to refer to God as "He" and "Him"

when in actuality divine energy is actually not authoritarian and male (and im not saying its a female, either)

when the majority of the world thinks in such a way, it is no wonder why we have an authoritarian, power hungry imbalance manifesting itself in everyday life

Getting back on the topic. Here are my answer to all of them:

No, I don't get annoyed. Even if they ask these questions or ones similar, I'd answer them plainly and simply. Education brings tolerance. Better they get their information from a living, breathing, Muslim rather than the caricature we're made out to be by other folks who have minimal knowledge of Islam or have some type of vendetta.

So in other words, we have mad happy people out there? and is that to be taken into context like someone having mad crazy skills?

Or are you saying not all happy people are gay? Whats wrong with happy people?

it is in line with a series of other threads with the "question for" theme by one poster to his or her fellow clutchfans.

some lighthearted fun around here is all it really is.

put the word Muslim in the title and you are guaranteed to get a debate going...
