UPDATE: Adding a little better source here, which is probably what "rotoinfo" (?) was quoting without credit. -Clutch

Nothing more than a fantasy status update, take it for what it's worth:

At this stage I'm guessing they'd offer him a one year deal. No way they offer a multiyear unless his contract is insured (which i doubt).

Lakers have Nash and Kobe spending all their time trying to motivate Dwight and we can have Harden and Lin do the same with Bynum. Umm ok in Morey we trust I guess.

I'd take Bynum for $5-$8million. One year deal, worth the risk IMHO. Also liked to offer Oden a contract for the remainder of the season.

Houston has the chance to offer any FA a contract. So saying "Houston is going to offer..." is pointless.

Why not? Let's assume Dwight and CP3 are off the market, and the Rockets want to save money for 2014 FA class, then Morey offers Bynum $15mil/1yr contract. I'd be happy with that.

In the past few months Morey has hinted that the cap space is more likely to be used in trade than free agency. If the Rockets wanted Bynum, I would think that they would have been reported to have gone after him at the trade deadline so they could own his bird-rights.

I do think Bynum will be on the radar, but its I doubt he's going to be offered the max right away.
