I love Jeremy. He's a great kid. He has a great work ethic. He shows flashes of brilliance. And I feel like all he needs to do to be pretty much the perfect compliment to Harden is become a knockdown three point shooter. That said, I'm not sure he's even the third best player on our team. So yeah, it's pretty laughable. It's also laughable because it's always an Asian reporter who asks about Lin. I wish there were also a reporter from Turkey who asked about Asik in every interview, an Argentinean reporter who only asked questions revolving around Delfino and a Lithuanian reporter who only asks about D-Mo. That'd make things even funnier. There should also be a reporter from GQ who only asks questions about Chandler Parsons.
Nah. It's funny because the asian reporter ONLY ask questions about Lin. They probably don't know much about basketball.
Sure and I wouldn't say it is ridiculous to ask that question. It's just a little amusing - and Jeremy is a 6 assist guy, not a miracle worker at finding open teammates, just a good PG.
^this. No one is "trolling" Jeremy Lin. But the entire situation is worth making fun of. The ultra-fixation on this one player is hilarious. If people can't see the humor in it, that's their problem. It's so ridiculous it's funny.
Yes. Easy. Just feed the ball to Harden for his (hidden: ISO) play whenever they get the ball. And stay away from Lin when I coach (hidden: yell at) him. - Kevin McHale......
"Do Lin comment on your tattoos?" "Do you have a plan to grow a beard besides tattoos when playing with Harden?" "Do you know there are LOF vs LOH battle in Cluctchfan board?" "Do you know there are more LOF in the world than the whole Houston population?"
that asian reporter was a fob. fobs don't have a shred of interest in western culture so if it's not chinese it's irrelevant.
Lin though is probably the best known Rockets player, and the one that has the most articles written about him. So while it is sort of funny, I am not sure it is really that surprising. And remember any coverage (well, most any coverage) - even wacky over coverage of Lin - is good for the team because it makes Houston a higher profile place to play.
You guys, that way they can put TRob's comment on Lin in their headline. Maybe that's what their editors are looking for in their articles
That is just plain generalization......and Jeremy Lin is an American and part of the Western culture IMO
It's even more sad that there was like 3 genuine discussions on the T-Rob interview, and the other posters just focus on that one single question which is part of the reporter's job description. Some of you are more obsessed about Lin, except in a bad way. And same for giving crap to Ho Chen for doing his job. It's not his fault that CSN didn't select a hot chick to read out tweets. He's just trying to do his job to the best of his ability.
comparing to mchale, t-rob is tiny. we are talking about pf. i don't feel good. btw, i am old school. bigs and defense win champions.
There is definitely a trolling fixation when every thread, like this one, is completely derailed into discussing Lin rather than the other more interesting stuff the players said.
