Based on opponent winning %, Rockets have played toughest schedule in NBA to date. 7 of next 8 games, however, vs. teams below .500.

The time is now to secure our playoff spot, but it worries me that we always play down to our competition. (i.e. Wizards loss)
Regardless, how we do over these next 8 games is going to determine if we secure that 8th spot or even get to number 7. Lakers are currently 2.5 games back..

This is why games like the last game are so important. It is obvious that you cannot win every game, but you absolutely need to win the games you should win when you are currently sitting as the last team in the playoffs.

Losing to the Wizards on the road isn't as bad a loss as people think and possibly not even a bad loss at all. They are 12-9 since John Wall has come back with wins against the Hawks, Clippers, Bulls, Knicks, Nets, Bucks and 2 against the Nuggets. A healthy Wizards team is an above average team.

We're 16-11 against teams with losing records and about half of those games were against teams close to .500 (such as the Lakers, Portland, etc).

That's a .592 winning percentage compared to our overall winning percentage of .534. We don't noticeably play down to the competition, and I wish people would stop saying that and saying "trap game" every single time we play a bad team. We clearly have a better chance of winning against bad teams than good ones.

exactly, it was on the backend of our B2B and the Wiz are rested and ready for us. it happens, sometimes the schedule gets the better of a team, like Boston yesterday and they'll lose again bad to Utah tonight. There's many spots in a schedule for just bad situations for teams.

Youngest team in the league with a completely overhauled roster has played the toughest schedule in the league and is still projected to go to the playoffs?

He's not perfect, but it's amazing how much hate Mchale receives...

I'm not comfortable having Lakers behind us. They're creeping up in the standings and it's making me nervous. You can see that the Lakers are starting to gel.

They seem to play a little better when they only have one go-to big man playing rather than having to incorporate Dwight AND Pau Gasol.

Actually, the Wizards were not rested. They played Denver the previous day and beat them. Wizards is still a much better team than their record says though. Even still, that Wizards game was a 3rd game in 4th night. We were bound to lose that one.

The Wiz played a back-to-back like we did, Denver the previous night.

The Jazz don't exactly have a cake walk schedule, I think they will be the team that misses the playoffs.

I think alot of people think the Rockets are gonna fall apart its just a feeling but since the Lakers are only a couple games back and yea Lakers might have a tougher schedule then the Rockets but Lakers have the talent to beat those teams ..

If Harden, Asik, and Parsons continue to play the way that they have all year, then it will come down to Lin hitting open jumpers consistently. If he does that and Beverly gives us good minutes off the bench, then we will make the playoffs.

Utah have the most home games left out of all the 7th-8th seed contenders and they are good at home.

On paper the Rox are a shoe-in in for the playoffs in regards to the schedule, but we are the youngest team on the League and we all know that comes with inconsistency. I'm just cautiously optimistic. I hope we make the playoffs but in the end, if we don't, it's because we were inexperienced in the end. This season so far exceeded my expectations, so regardless of the outcome, I know that this is going to be a great team going forward...

Rockets are 3-5 on 2nd game of B2B with losing the last 4. Good thing is Rockets only have one more B2B on the road, Apr 5th and 6th.

    Nov 19 @Jazz L
    Dec 17 @NYK W
    Dec 25 @Min W
    Jan 5 @Cle W
    Jan 12 @Phi L
    Jan 19 @Min L
    Feb 13 @LAC L
    Feb 23 @Was L

Schedule way in Houston favor to make playoffs and possible move all the way up to 6th spot. Rockets have 15 games left against below .500 and 9 left with above .500 teams.
