I think Sanders woulda got enough chance his 2nd year in 2012 after Chuck Hayes left. They'da probably let Sanders get backup center minutes, Jordan Hill play PF position behind Scola instead of trying to shoehorn him into a center. His first year though, Sanders might not have been an "Adelman" player. It'd be Hayes and Brad Miller at C. Could only play Sanders with Scola or Miller in the lineup for offense. Yes Rockets have a D-League fetish, though Sanders was sent down to the D-League too for a couple games. So its not like he was a rotation favorite from day 1 with the Bucks either. But it shows he'd probably still come up from the same situation thats common with Rockets young players.
Paul George could get some consideration. Maybe Noah as well. Sanders is a good choice. If he can get his MPG up close to 30 mpg, he'd have a much better shot.
What's your point? Robinson was drafted by Sacramento, who are notorious for bad draft picks. Trading Patterson for Jimmer would also be a top 10, 2011 draft pick. I'm tired of Morey and his "stretch 4" fetish. Rockets need a solid, grind-it-out, big man in the low post who can crash the boards and protect the paint. Every team in the Western Conference playoff picture has a go-to big man.
Larry. Larry. Larry. 2 blocks tonight. Huge block on Harden(and finished on the other end I believe).
Sanders = Bill Russell of the modern era. He actually does look a lot like him, physically and the way he moves around. That incredible block on Harden was probably the play of the game (apologies to Monta and his game winner).
Sanders for DMO/Trob Lin,Harden,Parsons,Sanders,Asik Top 5 defensive squad, and still potent offensively.
Given that you've never apologized for your long history of spectacularly wrong predictions and storied epic failures - why would you expect the same? And why don't you name somebody who's on your list here? Draft predictions are ridiculous anyway; Even blind squirrels like DaDakota occassionally find delicious nuttiness. Being right once every 4 or 5 years always happens if you just predict, predict, preduct.
I could see that argument, however, the stats on when he is in vs when he is out is pretty eye-opening. We are like a top 5 defensive team when he is in vs like a bottom 5 when he is out. I forget what the exact stats are but Morey had them up a few days ago.
52% for a big guy is actually average, that's because unless you're stretch 4 most of your fgs should be in the post or dunking the ball, check out Dh's FG before he got injured. Anyway all you really need to do is look at Patterson here in Houston and now in Sac before you talk about him being a bust and Sanders being so much better than him. Ppat in Houston per 36: 16.1 pts, 6.5 rebs, 0.571 TS% Ppat in Sac: 11.6, 6.7 rebs, 0.505 TS% So it's like night and day, IMHO if Ppat had gone to Milwaukee and got coached by Skiles then he would have been an even defender...might have even shed some of his softness and been willing to mix it up. OTH, it's quite possible Sanders wouldn't have become such a defensive stud if we drafted him, Mchale and RA don't really strike me as good defensive coaches, how good at D would he be if he went here? It's quite possible he would have been buried in the bench and not seen the light of day, kinda' like DMo and Tjones. I mean, it's pretty obvious right now DMo is the best pf we had, yet he never got any PT before MM and PP got shipped out.
What are you talking about...long history of spectacularly wrong predictions and storied epic failures, lol? Are you my personal troll following me around the forum now? I'm honored. My track record speaks for itself.... I've been right WAY MORE than I've been wrong, including my thoughts on Larry Sanders when OMR first made his thread. A few more examples include the Rockets being better without Rafer, Barry being a poor signing, Ray Lewis with a basketball being a bad draft pick and wanting DJ instead, correctly picking the winner of the WCF, ECF, and NBA Finals last season, RJ not helping the Spurs when they traded for him, and of course there's my prophetic Z-Bo thread, which spawned countless copycat threads. Have you ever made an accurate prediction or just a prediction vis-a-vis the NBA on this site? Edit: Also stop coming into various threads when you follow me around like a troll and derailing them.
