Lately you've gotta be impressed with Dwight Howard as well. He didn't have a great game today, but he finally looks healthy and he looks like he's able to do the freaky athletic things he used to.
True, true...but when you lose to teams like the Wizards, Kings, Hornets, and Raptors, the schedule might not mean a whole lot. We're a little too all over the map with the teams we beat and the teams we lose to.
So....explain to me why that means that we cannot beat the Dallas Mavericks.... We beat the Thunder with a healthy Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, no? I find them to be just a tad bit better than the Mavericks, don't you? The Lakers, who we've beaten, just beat them in Dallas, no? You act like the Mavericks are these world-beaters that we stand no chance against. If the only justification you're using is that they've beaten us twice, that's really just simple minded thinking...
we had to have a HELL of a game, and we have gotten worse with losing our 4s, we are just outmatched position wise.
Who's to say we won't have another hell of a game? Heck...who's to say we won't just have a good game. The Mavericks are 25-30! It's not like they're contenders or anything! And you say we're outmatched position wise...I mean...I don't know. I'll take Lin (on a good day) over Collison, Harden over Mayo, Parsons over Jae Crowder/Shawn Marion, and Asik over Kaman. Obviously Dirk is better than any of our PF's, and they're deeper than us at the moment, but I'm seriously just baffled as to why everybody sees the Mavericks as an unstoppable force for us...
They're looking better, but during that streak the only team they've beaten of any real merit is the Thunder. Other than that...not a REAL impressive resume.
Watching the game today, I couldn't stop thinking .... Rockets could have drafted Jae Crowder instead of Royce White.
Since losing Gasol they are 5-3, with only 1 win coming against a playoff team (vs Boston, right after Buss died). They also could have easily lost the games to the Suns and Blazers (both at home) and the Mavs game today. If the teams ahead of them just play .500 ball to close the season then they are going to have to win at a 70% clip. The next 10 games (6 on the road) should let us know if they are for real or not: @Denver Minnesota Atlanta @Oklahoma City @New Orleans Toronto Chicago @Orlando @Atlanta @Indiana
Joe Crowder is a bum. Royce White has all-star talent. I'd take Royce White over a rich man's Lazar Hayward all day.
