there's nothing illegitimate about psychology as a science. i don't know where you got that idea, but it's false. on the other hand, many people who have no idea what they are talking about feel that way.

ok, so you debase a whole practice based on measuring "happiness" there's more to psychology than that. i admit there are arbitrary aspects of psychology, but there's more to psychology than measuring how someone feels.
You sound incredibly ignorant and a little arrogant. I'm not a Dr. Phil fan but your statement gives me the distinct impression that you know very little about science, nor psychology, nor psychiatry. No big deal in the big picture. Just thought I would bring it to your attention because I'm sure that wasn't your intention. Of course, maybe I'm wrong. If you could support your statement about scientists and their opinions of psychology I would enjoy seeing the research.

The quackery related to psychiatry is that they take a vote by hand to decide whether or not a new "disorder" is actually a real problem which then allows them to start prescribing pharmageddon drugs for.

Wow, I really wonder who the people surrounding White are. He is committing career suicide as we speak. Doesn't he realize the Rockets just traded for his replacement? He stinks it up in the D-League and instead of working on his game he flies to do Dr. Phil. I don't know anything about anxiety disorders but flying all over the country and appearing on every outlet of media, just doesn't seem like something that people that suffer from an anxiety order would do. If he really is trying to champion anxiety order awareness than I applaud him, I really do. But I hope he realizes that the only reason he is so sought after for interviews is because he is an NBA player. If T-Rob ends up being the player we hope he will, White will be out of a job soon and I'm pretty sure the other FO's weren't lighting up Morey's phone before the deadline.
