Getting the 31st pick in the draft is much more valuable than a marginal NBA player hitting the occasional 3.
We didn't trade him to a horrible team, the Suns are mediocre in the West, and they just became better with the addition of MM. That's a mid-to-high 2nd rounder. Morris isn't a marginal player, and even if he was we went 7-2 with him starting. He was also the only guy who saw consistent minutes and knows the plays the most. If we were serious about making the playoffs, it wouldn't hurt to keep him around as insurance, you could trade him next season for a 2nd rounder if you really wanted to.
Well either way I think our playoff odds are not affected by Morris' departure to the Suns, if at all.
the left foot kind of looks slightly on the line and the right foot is in the air? hard to say based on this pic
Lol, everybody from #6 to #10 in the west are on a winning streak. Lakers aren't too happy about that.
The on court call was a 3, and they changed it to a 2. I'm pretty sure in cases like these you are supposed to stick with the on court call.
Any other angle would clearly show he was behind the line. That is the absolute worst angle, especially considering it's from the other side of the court. Why would an official from the other side of the court make the ruling?
Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne Dwight Howard candid today about how his conditioning has affected his play this year: "Unfortunately it cost us a lot of games". Dwight: "The better shape I'm in, the more I'm able to do. But it was a struggle at first because I just didn't have it in the tank."
