Back when I used to drive a lot I notice the following cars were the main culprits of slow driving:

    Toyota Rav 4
    Honda CRV
    Toyota Corolla
    Beat up Astro van

    It's all about this.

Like pulling of the side of the road to let a person pass.

My last speeding ticket was in Utah. Cop told me he clocked me at 105 in an 85 and got me real scared, only to find out I was only clocked at 93. Jut still got the ticket

Driving slow in the left lane?
Sounds like Austin, TX. Especially on Mopac where the right lane is the passing lane apparently.

Only two speeding tickets I've ever had were Utah highway patrol. Both times the cop over-exaggerating and tried to intimidate me for some reason. I think it's because I have an AZ license.

    PS - random rant..

80% of the time when someone is going 60 in the fast lane here in Phoenix, it is a Prius. I swear I use the diamond lane / HOV lane to pass a Prius at least once a day on my way to work.

Does anyone here drive a Prius; and do you feel entitled to drive whatever speed you want in the left-most lane as a result of that, or for another reason? :)

I have never had a speeding ticket, but I have been levied a few speed camera tickets. As a result I go the speed limit. I can't tell you how many assholes get über aggressive at me for going the damn speed limit in any lane.

The 'fast' lane is still restricted to the speed limit. Until I can bill you and assign the points to you for tickets, I will not feel bad about obeying the posted limits.

I apologize, but I am one of those "assholes". The courtesy of using the fast lane is that you're going faster than the traffic in the adjacent lane. There is no use for 3 cars to be pacing each other in all 3 highway lanes because they are morally superior to speeders. Traffic doesn't flow well for anyone involved when that happens..

Then you wont be mad at me when Im one of "those guys" who promptly gets around traffic pulls in front of you by several cars and slows down to about 5-10 miles and hour slower than what you were going. I mean Im still going under the posted speed limit.

Whats hilarious is that peeps feel its ok to chill out in the fast lane, but the second you get around and slow down a bit, watching them scream and motion at you. UHHHHH douche bag, its the same thing you were just doing.

What usually happens is I am merrily in the middle or right lane, and somebody is going 62 or 60 instead of 65. I switch out to the left lane to pass, but they start going 65 again. I am unable to clear them and it frustrates the 3class Beemers who are in a rush to get home to their mcmansions in the white suburbs.

If you're going 65 in a fast lane, and some driver goes 75 passes you and then slows to 60, while still in the fast lane, that driver probably has psychological issues and also may be mentally handicapped.

There isn't really such a thing as the 'fast lane'. It's technically a Passing Lane. Being in the left lane sure as hell won't stop a cop from giving you a ticket for being over the speed limit.

I can't think of a place in Utah were the speeding limit is 85, and I've been pretty much everywhere in the state. Highest speeding limit I know of is 75 in some areas on I-15.

GTFO of the way. Leave the left lane for passing. Technically the speeders are doing just that...PASSING. if you're not actively doing that..you need to move to the other 2 or 3 lanes.

I have done this a couple of times and it actually works. Just don't be drastic or obvious about it. Then you get into a road rage situation.

I pull up in the middle lane next to the slow poke in the left lane..dont look or make eye contact. just kinda gauge their speed. then a few moments later...speed up and get in the left lane. set cruise control to the other person's speed..and then slowly decrease by 1mph till you are going slower than them. :)

I am passing the old couple going under the speed limit.

I hope they rear end you next time.

Or pulling over to the nearest parking lot/driveway when you get in a fender bender. I've never understood this phenomena in town.... If your car is driveable pull the f@ck off the road.

I'd say you have problems if your intentionally delaying yourself to make a point.

Most likely they are motioning at you because you are an unstable driver which is the worst thing to encounter on the freeway.

Lol....but its cool for you to do it in the first place. Im glad you agree it takes a mental midget to not understand that the left lane is for passing cars and not for you to dictate the speed limit. Go grandpa it up at a game of checkers.
