Same old clutch fans, there's always something to complaint about whether we win or lose.

Huge win indeed, I'm not arguing that. And to respond to your post, no, we didn't pick up a point guard in the trade.

Beverley isn't known to be a shooter either, so thats where my main concern is coming from.

My concern is really about the future of this team. If Lin hits that 3 and spaces the floor for James, he is going to average 15 ppg. If not, he still provides defense, passing and steals for us. Lin still has time, but he really needs to work on getting his 3pt% to above 35 percent.

Great win. Stop focusing on Lin, he's basically still a rookie . Of course he's gonna be inconsistent for a while. One day, he'll be everone's favorite PG. I just know it. Until then, quit the b****ing.

Anyway, Harden and Delfino :)eek:) came up big, and Asik's rebounding didn't hurt either. However, we need a rebounding prescence when Asik is sitting. Hopefully T-Rob can give us that kind of piece to the puzzle.

Things are looking bright for the Houston Rockets.
    Go buy some shades.

Was clutchfans happy with DMo's play tonight?

I will give him a solid 6/10. Hustled his ass off, but still looked lost at a lot of moments in the game.

Asik with another double double. Dwight who?

Pair Asik with DMO and we have a potentially sweet 1-2 punch Offense and Defense.
Bring Robinson of the bench for a rebounding monster with the second unit.

    Harden/Garcia/Delfino
    Lin/Beverly
    Asik/Smith
    DMo/Robinson
    Parsons/Delfino/Garcia

the refs slowed the game down with those awful calls to the point we were unable to fast break. glad we won in spite of it

For some reason it bothers both LOH AND LOF because linsanity was mostly about his scoring... Lin's notoriety wasn't because he was assisting like Rubio. I think Lin definitely was looking to get everyone involved in the first half especially the bench players which is to his credit... But when Brooklyn was making their run and harden was willingly letting Lin take over, he missed his shots... Dude only took 11 shots so I'll give him a pass this game given that he was setting his teammates up nicely tonight.

People come down so hard on Lin. Players can have below average games sometimes.

Russell Westbrook shoots lights out some games and other games he's dubbed "Westbrick" and has 7+ TOs. Is he "inconsistent?"

Young, inexperienced players will have ups and downs. Parsons knocks down a bunch of 3's one game and scores 20+ points, next game he's 0-5 from 3 and scores in the single figures.

Lin's "inconsistency" seems more glaring because he reaches such highs some nights, looking near elite like in the OKC game. Having a below avg game immediately after makes the contrast seem more drastic.

He probably just barely has played the equivalent of a season of NBA minutes at this point, he'll gain more consistency with time as he has every month of the season so far.

Is it true that there was a huge standing ovation for Lin during the line up intro ?

Not even CP3 shoots above 35% from 3.

I was impressed with him today, kind of slow laterally on defense but other than that, he's got a good motor and some psych out post moves! Think some playing time for the next couple of games should help him get acquainted to the team better. It also seems like he and Lin have some sort of understanding of each other so that's good.

Hell yes, not many 7 footers can spin move that quick.

Give this team a year to gestate and it fights for 4-6th seed - perennial playoff entrants.

3rd year - either a star develops from the PFs or Houston lands Kevin Love.

Let's take the long view people!

D-Mo just needs more playing time...really think hes a smart enough dude. WHen he looked lost I think it was just him trying to feel for the play and understand what they were running. On a side note: please play andersen more. Harden could use the rest.

Yeah he still seems like he doesn't know where to be at points in the game. Hopefully Finch and McHale can clean that up quick. More minutes won't hurt either.

What I can see about lin is he is going up as he plays on. Inconsistency is his problem for now and ups and downs are expected along the way. He reminds me of tony parker who also said it himself. If we look closer, most elite PGs do take at least a couple of full seasons to get to their games up and forward. It is fine to criticize lin but we should also give him a couple of full seasons to develop into an elite PG assuming he is capable to do so. We will wait and see while objectively criticizing him.

Agree! Fun team to watch. Let tehm develop chemistry and see where it goes before we go trade crazy trying to look for that next star. i think the second half of the season wlil be a great test/proving ground and hopefully they do good enough to continue on into the season.

I'm sure Darnyel M'urray will be itching to get some different bench players but hopefully this team can get chemistry.......which takes a little time.
