So if you traded for a rookie or even 2nd year version of Shelden Williams or Jan Vesely, you should give him starters minutes on the current Rockets team?
ya, it's not like he started Chandler Parsons over an established rotational player in his rookie season or anything...
He's a rookie and needs to develope, so D-League or riding the bench is fine until he can get into the mix. But what are we going to do at the 4 spot right now? Does Terrence Jones get the call the be the starter?
Doesn't seem like it. Doubt he starts any ways, but it sounds like he'll get a few minutes and they will go from there. Also I think more and more Terrance Jones is becoming an after thought.
I'm in love with D-Mo but still want Robinson to start, I think he fits in well with our other starters.
Are there any free agent PF vets. out there we could pick for the last 20+ games? Playing a rookie/second year PF by committe is tough, especially if we are trying to move up to the 6 spot.
Rockets are a young team. They need to just remain young for this year and deal with the consequences rather than sign some old dude who likely can't even run with the team.
Motie, then jones and spot minutes for Robinson. Right now with our new pfs I'm expecting them to get into foul trouble because or their lack or minutes and experience so they should all be active.
I say play him. Harden didn't take long to learn the playbook.. maybe he can step in right away since we lost most of our PF's.
He doesn't need to start. He definitely needs to get minutes. I can see him being the energy guy and rebounder off the bench while we figure out what we have with him. Power forward is looking like a group effort right now. No matter who the official starter is, they're sharing it.
Harden already had 3 years of experience in the NBA, played multiple seasons, came back from a Finals and the Olympics. T-Rob has played 15 mins/game in half a season with subpar production. He still has a lot of growing to do.
