really tough when you've become really close as a team.

you can't really be a team if you're not a "group", if you know what i mean.

it should hurt when this happens, if it doesn't then the guys didn't really care..

Lin's performance against the Thunder after he heard the trade right before the game has fully demonstrated that he's manned up.

And he is also man enough to speak out his true feelings for his teammates. Few players would have the courage to do so.

That makes him more respectable as a person.

He knows. He's got undrafted and waived enough times to learn it already.

This is a business first. Lin needs to be more mentally tough.

Yeah, pretty sure he's mentally tough. He played well against the Thunder after his friends got traded.

Morey didn't make the trade in a classy way.
He hinted there is no trade and made it before the game.
Unlike other teams, those Rockets young players had not enough preparation.

But you have to acknowledge the fact that the Rockets do have this multiple players movement routine twice every year, at the deadline and in the offseason.

Not saying that it's good or bad. But the trade-happy image is not just a perception.

Taking this out of context. I'm pretty sure he's got 25 million reasons to play, not to mention he's just saying this because the team was actually close-knit. He didn't actually refuse to play tonite. Unless I missed the /sarcasm in this thread. lol

You're opinion is that of a person on the outside. From the outside looking in, it's easy to say that people should man up, or that it's a business.

Well, the Rockets hadn't made the playoffs in a while - moves were taken for the team to get better. I'm sure the FO knows what they're doing.

It's certainly a fine balance between professionalism and friendship. Just as at work, I have people I work well with. And when they are replaced with someone else(whether they left for greener pastures or company let them go) I feel sad. And of course it takes time to build a up a repertoire with the new guy.

But in the end, Lin's job is what pays the bills. Being good at his job is what allows him to get another contract later on continue to play. But I love the fact that the Rockets don't have a locker room where everyone just plays for the paycheck. It is what allows them to play so well together.

Isn't this the same Lin that tricked Machado into thinking we had been released 3 months before he actually was?

Ever notice there's a lot more people commenting about Lin wars than actually having Lin wars at this point? It's kind of irritating.

It's a good thing he has Parsons to "comfort" him through these tough times.

I'm glad he felt that way. I want guys to care about their teammates.

Dare I say, I'm really warming up to Lin.

This is excited as I've been in a long time, Morey is really building something special.
