His personality may not fit our team. I am very concerned about it.

The Rockets must think Dwight's attitude (and nagging health issues) will improve if they sign him to a max. What evidence are they basing that on?

    Desperation.

I give Morey a lot of credit, but sometimes he's like the rich if pudgy white guy who sets his sights on the mega-hottie ("I will have her"), hoping those STD rumors are bogus or that the problem simply needs a shot of penicillin and will go away: "Besides, it's not the having. It's the getting."

The Howard situation is a strange one.

As a player, no one seems better for the Rockets. He's a great defender, a great rebounder, a great pick and roll guy. He's all of these things EVEN THIS SEASON. He should rebound as well as Asik, defend as well, and add more offense. The best players on the team are willing passers and good perimeter shooters, who would complement him amazingly. I also think his back will improve.

If he were coming to the Rockets straight from Orlando, I'd be overjoyed. The problem is, he's coming from LA. He sees himself as the future number one guy of a storied franchise in the second largest market. I think he feels that he could push KOBE out of the spotlight in LA if he really wanted to. He's dictating what he'll do and how he'll do it, and trying hard on his own timetable.

I have trouble believing he'll be any kind of teammate on the Rockets.

I've said this in another thread, with the way harden is playing and mchale as the coach, they have a great chance at landing howard. If he comes to Houston he can be the man, but not really be the man if that makes any sense. I think he see the writing on the wall with kobe, dantoni and the way the lakers are constructed post dr buss. In houston, harden, howard, and parsons is a really, really good trio plus whatever they get once they trade lin and asik. getting Howard would elevate Houston into top tier of the nba. They would be there with okc, miami, and the spurs to me.

Don't care to put much thought into it. But I just can't see how the Lakers will get better next year with everyone getting a year older.

Just curious which teams do you think would want Lin/asik. One team I think that could work is the jazz. The want a pg for the future and asik would share time with kanter at center. That would allow them to develop favors and most likely let go of milsap. I know both dont have to go to the same team, but asik has more value.

I do think Howard fit this team perfectly because Lin and Harden penetration is going to create a lot of wide open dunks for him. Asik, a lot of time, EVEN WIDE open can not even make layups...dude is NOT good on offense. Defensively, he's a BEAST! I thing i hate about Howard is the lack of competitiveness, smile even when the team is losing, smile off when he's being frustrated. He doesn't know how to channel his energy and use it for the game. It's almost like he lack emotion. Horrible FT shooter. I am incline to skip him and favor going after Josh Smith. Josh give you 2blocks and 2steals per game...a hell of a rebounder and he can assist and shoot. Dude does everything to win. I think Asik is the foundation of the Rockets defense. Removing him will change the team chemistry. Him and Josh Smith will be a beast down low.

There is a reason we're succeeding and it's not just Harden. I think Asik can't be moved from the lineup.

Yes. You would absolutely want to get rid of Asik if Dwight Howard came along.

Better yet, let's sign Dwight and bring Omer off the bench. Non-stop interior defense and rebounding.

If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, Dwight is gone.

Dwight is gone unless they make a crazy long playoff run.

i agree. i already hate the lakers so i hope they dont make it at all.

Plus like said above, Dwights attitude is toxic on a team with such positivity. We dont need any drama which is a big potential risk bringing him here.
