Ragira's double was probably the only ball that was hit well by a Stanford batterl, other than the two long flyouts in the 9th. I made the Rodgers comparison because they look like "pitchability" guys. Guys who don't throw particularly hard, but who really mix things up well. I guess I was a bit misguided there.
Ryne Stanek and Arkansas trounced Western Illinois 9-1. He didn't factor into the decision, though, as he only went 4 innings. They were 4 pretty effective innings, though. He allowed a run on 2 hits (solo homer), walked 1, and struck out 4. In the Carlos Rodon watch, he took the loss as NC State lost 6-3 to Appalachian State. He went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits (3 homers), walked 1, and struck out 8.
Sean Manaea took the loss, as Indiana State lost to IPFW 2-0 in the opening game of the Bulldog Classic in Huntsville, Alabama. Manaea pitched into the 5th but was lifted after allowing a walk to lead off the inning. In 4+ innings, he allowed a run on 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6.
Wow I Bet Carlos Rodon won't pitch that BAD rest if the year. Speaking of the 2014 MLB draft it looks REAL TOP HEAVY. Hopefully 2014 draft will be the last draft the Astros draft HIGH...
Ryne Stanek,Kris Bryant, and Austin Meadows are my favorite 3. Kris Bryant reminds of Lance Berkman a very polished college bat who will put big numbers even with the new bats.
Yep, although they attend schools in different school districts. Loganville is actually located in 2 counties (Monroe and Gwinnett). K-12 education in Georgia is (mostly) the responsibility of the counties. Loganville High is in the Monroe County school district, while Grayson High is in the Gwinnett County school district.
Sean Manaea looking good so far. Indiana State is facing the College of Charleston in a tournament at Auburn. Through 3 innings, he's allowed 1 hit, walked 1, and struck out 6. He's also hit a batter. Scoreless game in the bottom of the 3rd. Sycamores are the home team. Audio feed also available on Indiana State's sports page.
Frazier hit two homeruns in his first game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYvM7FZ_Zuo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIHAj8Ma0lc
Sorry, the CBS Sports GT messed me up, he only pitched 6 innings: 6IP 0 runs, 1 single, a HBP, and 2 walks while striking out 10.
So through two games (against poor competition on the road) Manaea has given up 1r through 10innings with 16k/5bb and 5 hits allowed.
This years top hs football recruit, Robert Nkemdiche, is also from loganville, Georgia. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrec...iche-113275;_ylt=AkiLmYDWRjAfLzGRFlu.RBpGPZB4
