Uhhhh I highly doubt Motiejunas will be starting short term or long term...he only got 5 minutes last game and has been on the bench all season....you do not trade your starting 4 and your backup 4 for the #5 which is a PF if your not going to insert him ASAP it just seems crazy not to....do not be shocked if Thomas Robinson gets the start Saturday against Wizards

actually there are plenty of PGs that rebound better than Pat.

But to add to your point, while Pat was a willing defender, and even a good defender against undersized 4's, he always got pushed around by bigger guys. (I won't even talk about Morris, who was even worse). He simply could not hold his position/ground against guys his size or bigger in the low post, and that is just not gonna get it done, especially if you're not gonna rebound the ball. Our weakness as a team is our interior defense. Asik can't play two positions. Robinson will be an instant upgrade in giving us more defensive physicality in the front court, while taking away opponent's second chance opportunities with his exceptional rebounding skill. And he'll do it without slowing down our run-and-gun offense. He's gonna be a great transition big.

 

Will be interesting to see someone in the D-League for us that isn't a PF or C. Can't remember the last time we had a prospect down there that wasn't one of those.
