Sounds great to me. Rebounds and defense only? I love it. Just with his athleticism, Lin, harden and parsons will utilize him well. We needed someone who can play above the rim.

Imagine T-Rob pans out to be a star player and develops rapidly in his sophomore year by virtue of playing in a more friendly system.

Harden for Kevin Martin & picks

    T-Rob for Patterson & cash

I like the fact that Morey constantly goes for the home run.

He's a perfect fit with the Fantastic 4.

He needs no plays to be run for him.

He'll usually be found open, and since he's surrounded by 4 great passers, he'll frequently find himself taking uncontested shots close to the basket a very nice target for the playmakers.

He runs hard which makes him an excellent target in transition.

Defenders might test his outside shot, but his jumper looks very fundamentally sound and could become a reliable weapon down the road.

His offensive rebound rate and prowess, extends our offensive capabilities.

Having Asik around automatically improves his defense. (Remember that theory that a player gets better ratings for defense when he plays with a good defensive center? They said this about Martin before he was traded.)

Having T-Rob and Asik will help us dominate possession because Parsons-Harden and Lin are also excellent rebounders for their position.

Rebounding is the pre-requisite to a transition game, and having him will get us out on the break even more.

But he's got to learn how to play defense, pick n roll, post and help.

And he's got to learn to play the pick and roll.

As it is, most of his production will be from transition and offensive put backs. Rebounding may immediately be at an elite level. And his defense might not hurt as much since we have Asik around.

Omer Asik proved the importance of defense, rebounding and inside scoring. Trob appears to be an african american version of Omer Asik albeit a shorter version.

Have you not witnessed Asik's high-post game?

*Flashback to Asik nearly KO'ing Anthony Davis by trying to clear room*

You know what? I'm gonna reserve judgment until I see him play. I watched him plenty in college and he was a beast. Also, the article doesn't even mention tht he's already an elite rebounder. Harden said it perfectly yesterday -we're gonna ask him to rebound, defend, and run, that's all. he can do that right now. i'd also add, the occasional ally oop and clean up Asik's missed layups. All that he can do right now. We'll work on his mid-and long range game, and his low post game in the offseason.

I agree wth that and that's why I didn't have a problem with flynn, thabeet, hill,or williams trades. When young guys are struggling who were high picks, you hope you can get them turned in the right direction and get them to live up to the draft position. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't,but its low risk type of move. I think between jones,do-nuts,and robinson, they have some high upside guys. I've stated before I think donuts and jones have higher ceilings because of their traits, but time will tell. Morris nor patterson had special traits so it wasn't a big deal on those guys anyway.

Those silly LOF's. Imagine if McHale was as hard on Lin as Pops has been on Tony Parker over the years. They would probably be sending McHale threats. Who am I kidding, they have probably sending McHale threats all year anyway.

Lin is play great lately and that very likely has a lot to do with how Kevin McHale has handled him all season.

99% of the time a high profile guy leaves town, there is a hit piece like this done to try and convince the fans the team is better off without him. The FO plants it with their local stooge reporter.

This is as much speculation as you've accused the LOFs to have done.

Damn, one of the things that makes this season so enjoyable even for someone who refuses to switch to ****ing comcast is that we have such enjoyable well spoken players and a coach. I remember hating to see Van Gundy, who I enjoy as an announcer, being interviewed after a victory or loss looking like a Preparation H emergency case.

Yes. He is a very good passer for a big man. You have obviously not seen enough of him at all.

Of course he isn't....PPat is a good defender, and a guy who shoots the midrange jumper and spaces the floor very well for the Harden and Lin penetration - you don't replace a +50% shooter and good defender easily.

McHale is looking short term, Morey is looking long term, and the sooner you get DMo on the floor at the stretch PF position, the better the team will be IN THE FUTURE....

PPat is not a good defender, DD. He's a mediocre defender. He only seems good because all of our big men except Asik are terrible at defense.

PPat also rebounds like a point guard.
