I feel bad for the players that got traded and for their friends who didn't. It's a business but the players are really just kids trying to grow up. Life is not fair and unfortunately this is a lesson they have to learn. Hopefully this will not impact too negatively the chemistry they have developed this year.

And you're complaining? 3 of our guys are 21, 3 are 22, 2 are 23, 3 are 24, Asik is 26, and then you have the 30 year old Delfino, along with the just acquired Garcia, on his last legs at 32. What the hell do you want? Morey just traded two other 23 year old players in part to give time to those young rookies you're whining about, who are all of 1 or 2 years younger than the departed pair. There is no pleasing some people. Don't cement yourself as one of "those people," coachbadlee. Try looking at the Big Picture. We're developing young players, and we are winning. You should be delighted, not morose.

Yeah but we're gelling already. What do you attribute that to? I REALLY don't think it's the coaching staff.

It would be crazy to not credit the coaching staff with having a part in that. A likable coach with a fairly easy system goes a long ways in helping this team succeed.

Some act as if we are the only team not giving minutes to rookies. Kanter took a while to get his minutes and he was one of the more impressive big men that I've seen coming in.

Thats the problem with some people being such delusional Lin fans that they refuse to see what is in front of them due to their irrational hate of the coaches for holding back Jeremy Lin.

Haven't you heard? Mchale and Sampson are horrible coaches that couldn't possibly be due any credit for the team over-achieving. They hold back Lin on purpose cause they hate him for some unknown reason that is perfectly apparent only to Lin fans.

Hopefully McHale can work on some post moves with TRob. In his highlight video I think I saw him grab more rebounds than 2Pat all year.

Stop dancing around the issue. Sampson and McHale clearly hate Asian Americans. They also hate smart people. As a Harvard educated Asian American, Jeremy Lin never stood a chance. :)

Oh, please. How many wins do you think "jelling" is worth? Please ignore teams featuring young players still experiencing individual growth. Instead, focus upon hastily assembled, veteran teams.

The 2008 Celtics say jelling is overrated. So the the 1995 Rockets.

The Heat? Dude, they made the finals the first year they were together. They won it all the second year. So did the Lakers. Your examples are counterproductive.

If your team needs to jell, it's probably not very good.

Not really excited about Robinson. T jones needs to start. T Jones was the second best rookie after lillard in the summer lg. He just needs a chance. He's longer then Robinson just as athletic and has more skills. He also blocks shots.

Agreed, but how the hell did TJones drop so far in the draft? His motor was questionable?

You guys should really cut out the hating on anyone who supports Lin thing that you guys love to do. Some people are idiots. Let it go. TRob is a good her. Let's have fun with our newest youngster.

What I got from his rookie year hilights clip:

FAST: almost always first one past 3/4 court getting out in transition
POST GAME: raw, can see potential, seems to have that same D-Mo like baseline spin from the left block.
REBOUNDING: BEAST!!! Steps in as our 2nd best rebounder behind Asik
AWARENESS: Reminds me of Millsap in regards to poking the ball away at opportune times, can see decent # of steals from the 4, not common. Loose ball hawk too.
ATHLETIC: That putback over LaDwight was nuts!!! Hes no Blake or LeBron, but boarderline elite, good H/E coordination too, should be fun to watch a lob or 2 here & there.
OVERALL: Reminds me of...wait for it....Josh Smith

Get him working with Dream & McHale & he should develop into something special. Basically to quote Luis Scola, "He look ok".

I didn't know what to think at first, but I'm now in the camp of liking the deal. I think Robinson is going to fit in great with our style of offense. He's an athletic big, great speed for a 4. Probably very good at running the court and therefore could jive with our uptempo and fast breaking offense. Also hes a good rebounder, which will be an improvement over Patterson in that category. Apparently Robinson also has a decent jumper so maybe he could end up being as good as ppat in that area also.... Overall it seems like the guy had a lot of upside, maybe he will fulfill that with the Rockets.

Well, the Rockets certainly do not fit into the category of those Rockets Celtics and Heat teams you mentioned.
