Thats the thing, all our PFs are rookies and DMO(81minutes) and Jones(91) played less combined if compared to TRob(809).

Heck, even when you add in Greg Smith(632), they played less minutes totaled.

Unless you are thinking splitting time training with the Vipers and Rox consitute to more minutes for Dmo,Jones and Smith or rox go super small with Parsons/Delfino playing major minutes in PF.

I do think TRob will be playing significant minutes sooner rather than later.

Again we are seeing the classic conflict between a coach wanting to win and being loyal to his guys and a GM looking long term.

Neither guy is wrong. You want a coach that sticks up for his guys and wants to win. You also want a GM that looks long term.

However McHale doesn't have an ego like Adelman, it will be fine.

Josh Smith won't be a Rocket next year and McHale won't be fired.

McHale will be gone if they don't make the playoffs or get swept.

Are all the players acquired in the recent deals able to suit up for the next game?

    Any news on this front?

I was just about to post the same question. I know Robinson got in town today but I think the team was already gone.

Beverley played the last 15 minutes of a game (replacing our starting PG) without a single team practice (and no one on this Forum thought it was odd).

I don't see Robinson getting huge minutes to start. He doesn't know what the hell is going on yet.

Delfino or Garcia at the 3, with Parsons 4.

    I agree.

Hopefully D-mo or Trob will lock up that spot as bright up and coming big man and we won't even have to worry about PF any more.

I absolutely love the degree of confidence I have in this front office. I love the notion of acquiring the #5 pick in the draft for rotation-level talent that will soon be overpaid. My respect for the front office's ability to evaluate talent alleviates my concern that Robinson has been underwhelming thus far.

    Great feeling.

Lol we had no business being in the playoff run to begin with. Youngest team in the nba, new players, ect. ect.

    I think we overachieved.

Any team with a superstar and a non-terrible supporting caste should make the playoffs.

As for "new players," the notion that basketball players need multiple years to "jell" to produce good results is overrated. Do you play pickup ball? If so, how long does it take to learn tendencies? Not that long.

Face facts - if coaches lose they get fired. Or do you think that Morey is sentimental after trading 4 nice young men who contributed to the Rockets "overacheiving" record?

I disagree. It doesn't take years, but can take as long as a season for a new team to gel. Two recent examples would be both the Heat and Lakers. Hell, even the Clippers took a while to get it right. Pickup ball is a horrible comparison to the transition of learning a new team in the NBA. The game is completely different.
