The Rockets thing is to play whose been on the team yeah.

PLay D-mo and Jones some...find out what they have then trade it away for more assets and to get Robinson playing time.

I think I'll stop calling him Trob though...it just sounds too familiar for me...

Sorry if I missed it, but how soon can we see Robinson on the team if we don't send him to the D-league?

Probaly by our game after the one tomorrow. Maybe even technically possible tomorrow. But, even if he is available as soon as tomorrow we probably won't see him in the lineup until he gets some practice time with the team.

I wish we got Jimmer, he would have loved to leave Kings and play in Houston with our team.

Jimmer is getting ruined in Sacramento.

Nice trade, we've gained an extra playbook play just by getting T Robinson..

    alley opps baby!!

Beverley played the last 15 minutes of a game with no team practice.

Thing is, he doesn't look to be a guy that can finish around the basket. In fact, he looks like a guy who can't finish around the basket.

He does rebound very well. He makes us more althletic, too, which we need. However, he also plays bad defense.

I'm not saying he won't turn around. I really hope he does. I'm saying that so far, he's played terrible. That's not optimism, pessimism or speculation, that's fact.

He can absolutely finish at the basket, that's actually most of what he can do right now. Run the floor hard, roll hard to the basket, dunk the ball

I would just chalk it up to him getting used to NBA length around the basket. In college he was able to bring the ball down, and didn't have to use his body to shield off defenders.

However, good news is physically T-Rob is more than capable of adjusting his game, and still being affecting down low. If Milsap, and Landry can be as affective as they are around the bucket... T-Rob will figure it out. Who better than one of the greatest low post players of all time, and one of the greatest low post teachers of all time to work with him this offseason on these types of things.

I watched every one of TRob's games at Kansas, so I can tell you a few things:

    1) great athlete, but undersized pro

    2) nice mid range game, but needs post work

    3) great rebounded. Probably better at this point in his career then PPatt will ever be

He was showed immense improvements in 3 years time he was there. Came in raw as can be, left as the runner up Player of the Year. Much of that can be attributed to working with Danny Manning and going head-to-head with the Morris twins everyday. Having an off-season to work with McHale will do wonders for this guy if he puts in the work.

I think Lowe, or one of the reporters said this, but robinson gets blocked 10% of the time. That's a huge factor to the low percentage

It's all about the role. Robinson is absolutely a good finisher around the basket -- anyone who spent significant time watching him at Kansas can tell you that. Has he done it much thus far in the NBA? Of course not, because his role has basically been 15 minutes/game off the bench for a bad team -- which basically means playing with bad teammates, having a high volume of shots/minute and creating his own offense, which he's not good at yet.

Give him the chance to play off the ball with good, penetrating guards, and his combination of strength, athleticism and hands around the bucket will be lethal.

Now, at some point, T-Rob will have to develop a move or two of his own (basically, the ability to create his own shot) in order to become a star. We'll see if he can, though having Kevin McHale should help in theory. But even right now, if you've spent any amount of time watching him, you'd know he's capable of finishing around the basket at this level. He can be a quality role player tomorrow. The reason the numbers don't reflect it is that the Kings put him in basically the complete opposite of that situation.

**Undersized for a NBA PF** The 6'10 measurement of him is very generous

I can't wait to see BimaThug's breakdown of this trade season. That is all.

I'm pretty sure Delfino has NEVER played a minute of power forward for us and that it is Chandler Parsons who gets pushed to the 4 in small ball lineups.

He's half an inch taller than Josh Smith, and there were quite a few people who wanted him to be our PF.....I don't think size is an issue, especially since he has a 7'3 wingspan.

They've got 5 guards now. I wouldn't be surprised if they set him free.

Pshhh - getting blocked 10% of the time is nothing. Honeycutt gets blocked 33% of the time inside!!!

I just checked the numbers, Cousins and Thompson both also get blocked 10% of the time inside, but both are over 60% eFG% from there. Robinson is only 51% from 'inside'.
He never struggled at college from the inside, so I'm willing to write it off as part of being on a horrible team.

As already noted, his rebounding is already a plus over Patterson - in just 16 mpg he gets more rebounds than PPatt does in 26

Most of those aren't lottery picks.
