McHale loved PPatt, I'm willing to bet that's the player that he's most pissed about losing.

PPat had been absolute money with his jumpshot lately. We are definitely going to get slightly worst this season.

in the off season this year:
rockets sign d howard for 4 years and 88 million

rockets sign and trade with the hawks for j smith (4 years and 65 million); give up asik and robinson or t jones and draft picks (hoping for t jones but i think the hawks would want robinson)

    starting lineup:
    lin
    harden
    parsons
    smith
    howard

I would agree with this, but if McHale really didn't know about this deal until 6:30 as he says in the interview, that could be a sign that the organization isn't as high on him as it would seem?

More than McHale being here or not, I wonder what the organizaions view on style/pace of play is for the future. Is the all out run and gun philosophy McHale's, or Morey's? Because playing the pace they do would really affect the type of players you go after

He'll get votes, but unfortunately McHale won't win over Woodson, Carlesimo, Mark Jackson, Vinny, or D'Antoni (if the Lakers magically make the playoffs).

Same thing happened under Rick. Morey's a baller and doesn't give a hoot what they think. He's building the team and they coach who he gives them.

I don't know. At what time did Royce White hear about it?

Morey didn't know about the deal until really late in the game, anyway. He didn't even deactivate Patrick Patterson until right before the game.

I think the run and gun philosophy is Leslie's, actually.

Thomas Robinson is raw on offense.

But, he is an athletic big man, with good size, good hands, and good coordination. This is definitely someone that Mchale can work with. One of the moments that it is really nice to have a coach like Mchale.

    Of course he's pissed.

He got the team running on all cylinders and now has to re-work the offense and rotations. It's frustrating, but I'm sure he knows that's part of the job.

As for finding out late, I dont think Morey told anyone that wasn't part of finalizing the deal. He couldn't afford to let details leak out.

Not only PPat, but also Morris is gone. So he has no one at the 4 to fall back on unless he's to play the rookies -- 4 of them.

How can you not develop rookie?

Said a lot of move was about opening up PT for DMo, T-Rob, and Greg Smith. Didn't mention TJones...

Listening some....Morey noted that this trade wasn't about cap space, but more about freeing up time for Donuts, G Smith, and now Thomas Robinson. He said the Kings were always interested in PPat but weren't willing to give up Robinson until now. Morey said he has wanted Robinson for awhile.
