He is 23/24. And let's wait for the playoffs (if we make it that is) before concluding what Harden cannot do. If he has done it so far in the regular season, it's more fair to say he could probably keep it up in the playoffs than to assume he would suddenly be shut down. Let's not forget Harden was a huge reason the Thunder were in the finals in the first place. Harden still has a long way to go, but in a few years time I don't think it's implausible to compare their offensive prowess.
well if that happens my friend, i will give him props. but i just can't believe rockets fans on THE rockets board, are saying right now, he's just as good as hakeem was. I can only conclude that they are young and didn't watch the glory days. Because that is some high, high praise. Harden was the third option on the thunder, and operated in a lot of space. No one is saying he will be shut down, but can he carry the team, posession after possession, when the whole defense is keying on him, and he's getting double and triple teamed? If it ever happens, i will sing him some praise. but i watched a whole lot of games of hakeem in his prime, and i just can't believe someone will say he's as good offensively as hakeem.
Harden's game last night was one of the most impressive single game performances that I have ever witnessed in my 25 years watching the Rockets. 46 points on 19 shots is just silly. What an amazing season this has turned out to be! I haven't enjoyed watching a team play this much since 1995...
A complete NBA player defenses well too. This is a significant part that I'd like Harden can improve on.
After this play I wondered why Harden threw up his 3 sig to the OKC bench. Then i saw that white guy from OKC kept waving his hand and yelling to distract Harden lol.
