Rebounding projections are the most accurate projections when it comes to statistical analysis, guys in Euroleague, college tend to perform as expected when they get to the NBA, and as it projects T-rob is gonna be a stud rebounder. Well with Asik holding his own in rebs (even while playing with a stretch 4), I'm excited to see how many more rebs we can get with T-Rob, who's looking like an absolute stud rebounder.

What do you mean by skilled? Take away his dunking/athleticism he has nothing..

I think when we are talking about skilled, we are talking about people who can shoot the ball, has good handles, can create space and actually perform a bounce pass.

Don't get me wrong.. I think Blake Griffin is a phenomenal player but I would not give him the last shot of the game.

    Now he does.

When he was a rookie he was just a guy who could jump really high and hustle. Throwing his body into the stands for loose balls and what not. His mid range jumper was unreliable. No post up moves.

He's worked a lot on his game though. I'm just saying that his skillset coming into the league is not much different than Robinson's coming into the league.

I think we can play T.Rob and D.Mo together when Asik goes to bench, thus we have our 3pt stretcher and a tough rebounder all throughout 48 mins.

not nearly as big a push as "thrives purely on body and effort" if a push at all. The guy has great passing, spin moves, very solid handle and probably the most effective drop step since Shaq. His skill level is very high overall. If his midrange shot too went from ok-ish to good - and it's getting there - he'd be right up there with the most skilled PFs overall.

I really liked Patterson as a player, but I love this trade. Granted I've only seen Youtube clips of the guy, but Robinson looks like a combination of a rich man's Greg Smith and a Carl Landry type energy player. And at least in the clips of the college games, he showed a pretty good midrange shot as well.

    Me like.

frankly, i think it's not really fair to neither Robinson nor rookie Blake. I'd say that about guys like rookie Faried or Favors.

Robinson seems to have a solid skillset for a PF, the problem is more putting these skills together and not overdoing things - taking fewer dribbles, fixing shot selection and such.

when T rob fell to 5 (fell to 5 yes remember it changed everything cause no one expected him to go that low)

everyone was saying He was basically Kenneth Faried with a better offensive game.

Theres no reason that he will not be as good as Faried.

The problem with athletic guys is sometimes they dont have a high motor, good work ethic and lazy...cause everything was always easy for him...

Thats not the case here...the guy has a crazy high motor, drive and motor. He plays hard for his little sister. The only family he has left. Not to be the next stud.
I think that is a pretty awesome factor here.

Yup, Robinson is one of the most skilled projects at the 4 and 5, some people here apparently don't know jack about him.

Usually these guys go high though. If you are about 6'8 or so and have a long wingspan and be very mobile and play vertically, you go high in the draft. Just look at Tyrus Thomas.

I think this is, at least for me the reason why Anthony Davis is a can't miss guy over all those guys because he has the athletic ability but also has a lot of skill. I think it is always about if they can put it all together.

That's why I quoted that guy and just replaced Thomas Robinson with Blake Griffin. It's really not fair to any one, I was just saying that Robinson comes in with a similar skillset as another elite prospect. Lets wait and see what he can become before acting like what he is now is all he'll ever be.

I would have agreed with that statement last year, but Griffin's offensive repertoire has increase this season quite a bit.

To say or development won't turn him around is just pessimism and speculation at this point.

He is a rookie who shows great rebounding instincts. He looks to be a guy that can finish around basket. He needs to work on his shot and defense. Sounds like a normal rookie outside of the gaudy rebounding.

From what I can see of the limited videos, Robinson is elite in beating other big men down the court. That by itself creates mismatches offensively and lots of cover defensively. The guy can run.

(Not comparing the two at all, but the last big man we had who could outrun his opponents on every play did pretty well for the franchise and the town.)
