Apparently all lakers pg back ups are available, each for a second round pick, I love Darius Morris but with the youth here I think we should at least look at Steve Blake and his 40% 3pt shooting

Allen Iverson would want to start instead of been a back up. So no.

Not many good starting PGs have reliable outside shots. Jason Kidd/Rajon Rondo/Tony Parker all had suspect outside shooting when they first started out.

Look at the salaries involved. Garcia + Robinson's salary meant Toney had to go in. 2Pat + Aldrich wasn't enough.

And the Kings will not keep TD beyond the season.

4M salary for a backup point? That eats up our salary cap.

I also suspect it will be Gibson. There were rumors earlier that the Rockets were interested in him.

No AI knows he is no longer a starter in this league but he can be a great mentor to Lin if AI can have the right mindset about it... At the least AI can teach JLin his killer crossover... In all those years AI only went right with his cross and AI had a very quick first step, all traits that Lin possess.

Why? I like Beverly. He is raw but I think he has nice potential.

I think Gibson would be great as he is an absolute marksman from behind the arc. I think we don't necessarily need a playmaking PG; rather a shooter much like Douglas was. Anytime Lin or Harden are on the court, they'll be the play-maker. Gibson, Delfino, and Garcia can all knock down 3s.

Yeah, I think he could be a good fit. Beverly on the tough defensive assignments, and Boobie when we need spacing and shooting.

The problem with Gibson though is he doesn't defend. You can't put him at the sg spot like TD because he'll get abused. TD gets abused as well but at least his effort tires the other guy out, Gibson just doesn't D because he's too small. If you really need another 3 pt guy then I'd rahter spend more and get a two-way guard like Reddick.

I would love to see Ridenour on this team. Can hit the 3 and plays with a little flash. OK/pesky defender. Anyone know what his contract looks like?

We definitely need a quality PG to step in. Till then Beverley should grow.

    Toney will be missed.
