okay I lied. I'd still give up one of them without blinking though. :)

What are the odds of both Dwight and Smith taking a pay cut to win ala LeBron and Bosh?

Could this be something to consider? Is winning a huge factor for them?

Might as well ask for Harden, Asik, AND Parsons. Also insist that Rockets take on Louis Williams' contract.

No, T-Rob and Terrence Jones and I'll bite. We need a back up 4, and D-Mo is the only guy on our roster that can play with his back to the basketball.

I don't see why we should give up Robinson.

He is 6 YEARS YOUNGER then Smith and we could sign Smith in the offseason if needed. We aren't winning the title this year so why give up Asik, Parsons or T-Rob

What's Woj talking about? Omer and Chandler are both starters!

Nil, they're not going to give up that much $$$. We only have enough cap space for one max contract.

It's one thing to take slightly under the max. It's another thing to take half of the max.

Zero. Howard has shown his true colors. Or rather, he's been consistent and shown that the issue in Orlando was him, not management.

I think Daryl is just flirting with the Hawks if he can get Smith right away for cheap he"ll do it but I am betting he will wait until the offseason.

Maurys the Jedi master, he definitely laughed them off. Mockery will make them doubt their offer.

I would actually love to have Lou Williams on this team to back up both guard positions for ~24 mins a game. He's a good player, definitely worth $5M in my book. If we do trade for Smith, I gotta assume the plan is to re-sign him in the offseason, so cap space becomes a non-issue. In that situation, Lou Williams is a good get to round out the squad and add a nice 6th man to the bench.

The Suns are in the running for worst team in the league this year, and less likely than the Hawks to be able to resign him long term. The Nets probably would be a place he would be willing to stay, but it's questionable if they have anything the Hawks would want. The Hawks aren't going to be overly tempted by expiring contracts because if they just want the cap space they can let Smith walk and get that. Unless the Hawks drop Smith plus another bad contract on the other team.

How do we know? 51 games at 14 MPG on a garbage franchise. He could be an amazing or for this team. Wait out on j smoove IMO.

Josh Smith will be 32 when T-Rob is 26. Makes a huge difference when his game is based on athletism.

The tax isn't the problem, it's cap room. Trading for Smith without sending out lin/asik kills any cap space or leverage for a S&T for Dwight.

The problem with a trade now is, if the Rockets give up assets, he can still walk in free agency.

The best scenario might be for the Hawks to keep him. Then the Rockets keep their cap room to use on Dwight/Smith and hope one of those teams will want Lin & Asik in a S&T to get the other.
